***Canine Infectious Respritory Disease***
PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR INSTRUCTION

C.I.R.D or Canine Respritory Infectious Disease is a new virus/disease affecting the domesticated animal family. This new virus was believed to have originated in Oregon in 2023, however research has shown that is has most likely been around since mid 2022. This virus/Disease is very similar to covid in humans, and has similar symptoms in the animal community. Cough, running nose with or without discharge, runny boogie eyes, being lethargic and loss of or decrease in eating and drinking. This virus/disease is extremely contagious,and is passed through air, physical contact, body fluids, shared bowls, etc., and can lead to pneumonia and death. This virus/disease is very hard to diagnose, for that reason we **WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANIMALS FOR GROOMING IF THEY ARE DISPLAYING ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS.**
If your pet is/or has been sick, please bring a vet note clearing your pet of sickness. If we need to reschedule your appointment for a later date, we can do so. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. By working together we can keep this sickness out of public service areas and open for all.

*****Please be sure to present all current shot records for the coming year at your first grooming appointment of 2024. Without a current shot record, we cannot groom your pet.*****

Good morning from PAWfection everyone. Now that it is getting into the winter months we want to put out a reminder. Since we live out of town if the roads are too bad we will be rescheduling appointments as needed! Hope everyone has a great Halloween tonight and be sure to dress those kiddos warm!

Hey guys just wanna throw a reminder out there about picking up before your pet is ready to go.

I had a client come in today who came in about 20 minutes before the pet was ready to go, just to check on the pet. Said pet was on the grooming table and could not be finished because the pet was too excited trying to get to the owner, who is baby talking to the pet the whole time in the shop. The pet was not finished for grooming and not finished for touch ups, because the pet was too wiggly and kept peeing from excitement.

Please know that I understand that being away from your pet for a few hours can be absolutely devastating to some, however, I am asking that you
PLEASE WAIT TO BE NOTIFIED THAT YOUR PET IS READY TO GO.
Wiggly and excited pet’s are very dangerous to work on, or to continue to work on with sharp clippers and scissors. I want to do the best job that I possibly can on your pet, but I can’t risk the health of the animal or myself with sharp equipment if the pet is overly excited.

Grooming is a fun and exciting career, and I very much enjoy what I do. But, having said that … I’m really not trying to keep your pet all day. Most pets are here at the shop for 2 to 3 hours tops. Please respect my time as I in turn respect yours. A rush job isn’t good. And a good job isn’t rushed. But if you want a rushed, good job….please be prepared to pay the price for that very expensive service.

I am going to have a live video tomorrow at 3pm, where I will be addressing our policies and what is expected from my grooming shop and what is expected of my clients.
I will be addressing my No Call No Show policy, as well as confirming and not confirming appointments. I will also address the fact that I’m going to be changing our missed appointment policy regarding confirmations by text, or more specifically non confirmations by text.
I will also be going over shop hours, pet pick up time allotment, early drop offs, the parking lot and pet waste clean up outside of the shop, as well as a few other important things and even hitting on what we will be doing going into the next year 2024.
This would be a great opportunity to discuss any of these things if you are having any questions about my policies, payments, scheduling, etc.

Please remember that we give ample amount of time to cancel your appointments in advance through our automated reminder service. Also keep in mind that there is a time limit in which you must cancel. You cannot cancel your appointment the night before or the day of, or the time is expired and it won’t let you cancel, and therefore you have to call or you will be recorded as a No Call No Show. Please keep notice that if you cancel too late, and the system won’t let you, that’s your indication that you will be you have to pay 50% of your missed appointment fee before another appointment can be scheduled.
It’s all about communication. If you communicate with me…the odds are ever in your favor 😌
