ARTRC is a support network of animal and agricultural resources with the purpose of coordinating and providing those resources for training, mitigation, planning, mobilization, response, and recovery related to emergency incidents primarily, but not limited to, Reno County, Kansas. This corporation/foundation is organized NOT FOR PROFIT and the objects and purposes to be transacted and carried o
n are:
1. A nonprofit corporation/foundation exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
2. To provide a support network of animal and agricultural resources with the purpose of coordinating and providing those resources for training, mitigation, planning, mobilization, response, and recovery related to emergency incidents primarily, but not limited to, Reno County, Kansas.
3. To provide interagency and coordinated efforts with private, public, livestock and volunteer organizations, businesses and agencies, to address animal emergency issues in certain areas in the State of Kansas.
4. To raise public awareness of the need to plan for the aid and disposition of animals in disasters and to develop animal emergency response capacity in the defined region(s).
