Home Remedies 101: SkunkTastrophe! 🦨🦨🦨
As I cannot always be available when your feisty fur kids have Skunk Combat 😆
Here is a step by step home solution....
STEP 1: DO NOT wet the pet. This is crucial. Getting the coat wet, especially with warm water, opens the hair follicles. Allowing the skunk musk oil to fully saturate the coat. This we do not want obviously. 😂
STEP 2: Mix Dawn Dish Soap with Baking Soda into a loose paste. Think pancake batter. Enough to cover the pet. To clarify this is not harmful, if your pet licks it, in the worst case it may just throw up bubbles. 😆 Dawn dish soap as we all know is excellent at removing oils. And baking soda is a natural and effective odor eliminator.
STEP 3: Hold your breath and thoroughly rub this into your pets coat.
STEP 4: Take a break to go vomit while your pet rests in the solution for about 10 to 15 minutes 🦨🦨🤭🤢🤧 😂🤣
STEP 5: After soaking Rinse your pet thoroughly. With luke warm water as to not irritate the skin. Then proceed to bathe, condition and dry as usual. It is very important to condition after this process to help replenish some moisture to the coat from the stripping of oils.
STEP 6: Have a stern conversation with said pet about his/her life choices. Then give yourselves a snack and call it a day. 😃🐾🐾🐾🐾
