Here's a joke to brighten your morning, brought to you by Millard
I've had a lot of people ask me why all the groomers are so busy lately. Here's our best guess....
3.2 million pets were bought or adopted between March 2020 and December 2020. This is a 50% increase from 2019. These pets are now at the age of needing to be groomed, plus it's now the regular "busy season" for groomers.
So, how do you make sure that your pet gets groomed when it needs to be groomed?
- Plan ahead! Many groomers are booked out 3 to 4 weeks, some even months out! Chances of getting in the same day or week are unfortunately pretty slim.
- Rebook. When you do get in for that much coveted grooming appointment, book your next appointment before leaving. Whether it's 4, 6, 8, or 12 weeks in the future, rebook that appointment! You can always fine tune your times or days closer to that next appointment, but at least you have your spot saved.
Groomers want to help as many pets as possible but we need to make sure that we are scheduling enough time to get your pet's done safely and with as low stress as possible. We know it's inconvenient, but please be patient with your groomers, whether they be with Little S'paw on the Prairie or elsewhere, while we navigate these uncharted waters.
Have a Fabulous Friday!!
As much as we love you guys, we will be closed for Memorial Day Weekend, May 28th-31st, to spend time with our family. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend!

In 17th century France, the Poodle was the official dog of the French court. Records from the Louis XV Era show the first evidence of businesses dedicated solely to the grooming of pets.

As much as we all love spring, we know spring is shedding season. We love our pets but could do without those magical fibers of love that float through the air when we pet our dogs. Call today and get an appointment for deshedding bath and brush!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Thank you so much to all those that let us help take care of your pets. We look forward to another year of seeing you and your four legged family!!
