We lost Softie today. She was good yesterday and today in really bad shape. Softie was a product of the very first Clear the Shelters…2015. She was adopted for free from the Charles County Humane Society and quickly put on a FB yardsale site for $200. I grabbed her up. Softie was a quiet and kind little dog. Never ever one bit of trouble and she always gave way to the other dogs…it was her sweet personality. Today came as quite a shock. Thank you to Prince Frederick Animal Hospital who saw her within a few hours of my call. Softie was blind. She was with us for nine years. She will be greatly missed.

Pudge … the happiest little critter dog on the planet. Always on the move checking things out. Tail always wagging. Happy for his meals, his soft bed, heat in the winter and AC in the summer. Easy to please.

We had a scare with Hoff Saturday evening. Of course it’s always at night and the weekend. He was vomiting and had diarrhea. Knowing dehydration would quickly be a big issue we loaded him in the car and headed to White Oak Veterinary Urgent Care. His bloodwork was perfect thank goodness. Subq fluids and a cerenia injection and we headed home and by Sunday evening he was back to normal. We are so so so lucky to have White Oak Veterinary Urgent Care local to us. Dr. Becker is fabulous. It’s not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Any local followers keep them in mind should you have an emergency with one of your animals. They are really great in the service they provide.

Adoption event today

Today is the Day come join us at Eagle Lodge 21 Cool Springs Rd. We are going to rotate some animals through the day. Dogs and some kittens as well.
10am until 4pm so much happing vendors,food trucks, and games.

Brownie did really well for his acupuncture appt this afternoon with Dr. Tacia. He will go back in a month and then will go every three months. Huge thank you to Pam, Alison, Janet, Jackie and Salty Paws Brigade for their donations covering Brownies appt today. There are two more donors that I can’t see on the fundraiser. Our little guy Brownie has some things going on with his kidneys. We have had such great results for Riley’s kidney issues with acupuncture that we have made an appt for Brownie. His appt is tomorrow with Dr Tacia and the cost is $200 for the first visit. Would anyone like to give our Brownie some help with this vet bill.
