We/I haven’t taken a horse into the rescue since December 2019. I worry about $ and my age … not wanting to get in over my head. Horses can be expensive and labor intensive. BUT here is this girl with zero interest I’m sure because she’s a bit odd looking with the white around her eyes AND I can’t get her off my mind. Her fee is $750 and transport $350. I would quarantine her here. Is anyone up for donating to get her safe? Her time is up today and then off to another auction or worse. I’ve waited to last minute hoping someone else would give her a home.

Our resident psychopath Misty. When we picked her up from the shelter they had her wrapped in a huge comforter. They handed her over and said “good luck”. We love her just the same.

So we took this little girl in last week. Owner surrender. She’s just two years old and weighs 7 pounds. She is tiny. The folks paid $1600 for her two years ago. Getting her spayed May 6. Her name is Cheyenne. Such a big name for a tiny dog.

Brownie got cards from three vet practices. Never had that happen before. Brownie was so special. Thank you Big River Acupuncture, Prince Frederick Animal Hospital and Calvert Well Pet. We miss that little guy tons and tons.

In all the sadness of losing Brownie, there is some joy. Jimmy had his dental on Tuesday. He has two teeth left. What wasn’t extracted just fell out during the cleaning. Thank you again to all who donated. It was the exact dollar amount needed. And thank you to everyone for the kindness on our loss of Brownie. It’s so hard to wake up and not see him in his bed and coming into the kitchen ready for his breakfast. The sweetest little dog ever. We are so lucky and grateful to be his last home. ❤️💔❤️

We moved Jimmy’s dental up to tomorrow. The clinic that neutered him noted he had an infection so getting his dental done sooner than later. Thank you again to all that donated, shared and supported in anyway.

In other news, Brownie is breaking my heart. He was good three full days after subq fluids but day four he was not feeling well. I hate to do fluids several times a week. He was not real happy with being poked. I hate this cause I know where this is headed.
