Here we go again! 46 eggs went in but I only expect half to take since there are some newer layers in the pen.

We went to check on the mommas this morning, checked under Bonnie Blue first & there were only 5.... Panic set in. So we lifted 8-6 only to find the other 21 babies under her 😳 Talk about a wonder mom!! These 2 girls are co parenting so its not surprising the babies are back & forth between them but it was still shocking that 21 littles fit under her without looking like she was busting at the seams 😂

I already see some keepers in the bunch, a few of the paint babies will be added to our flock & a lot of these littles will be grown out for spring pullets/hens.

I love waking up to an incubator full of little ones! 2 Mommas are done hatching as well & the 3rd momma should be hatching this coming week 🥰 We have 26 littles right now & half will be grow outs.

Just some pretty mommas with 3 days til hatching 🥰 Another momma in different coop will be hatching around a week or so later than these 2 girls. Checked their eggs for the last time tonight & they all looked great!

Lockdown begins! See you in 3ish days little ones! Wonder who will hatch first? The incubator? Or 1 of the 2 hens I gave half the eggs to? 🤔

All the incubator babies are looking good this last candling!! If all goes well I will have over 30 chicks hatching & half will be grown out!

Someone is having a rough start to her molt 😅
Where did your p**f go? How is it to be able to see? She is looking all over like she has never seen the world before... To be fair she hasn't since she was a little one. She looks so bad right now but had to share her struggle puff 😂

Bonnie (first photo & molting lol) ended up blessing us with 2 girls & a boy (not pictured here). Her girls are filling in nicely so I can't wait to see how they look after their first molt! Everyone thought Bonnie was a boy so we were surprised when she laid an egg & went broody 🤣

This is a small test hatch so there will only be a handful of chicks available this round. If you are interested in chicks I highly recommend letting me know ASAP before I list them because I don't see them lasting long.

Next large hatch won't be til the end of September.

This satin frizzle girl is a first time mom & she is doing an amazing job raising these 2 little ones! These are 2 we kept from our last hatch & I'm excited to see how they grow out :)

We have some beautiful silkie chicks available & more hatching in 17 days! We breed Paint, Blues, Black & Splash. We have Satin, Satin Frizzle & Standard Silkie feathered mommas so there is a chance for all 3 feather types. 8 of the 10 hatched are available currently!

Hatched 8/13, 8/15 & 8/17 buy Mommas.
Next is an incubator hatch will be around 9/10

When its 80°+ outside & you want to hatch 🙄 she has ice water & a fan on the porch but all she wants is to eat cornbread out of her dads hand.... 🤦‍♀️ She is molting as well so she is looking ratchet 😅🤣 splash princess needs a makeover lol

Incubator hatched on 5/3 from my blues & blacks. They have been being cared for by a hen that was broody & are handled daily.
