Anyone up for fostering? She has ringworm unfortunately but it's doable!! I can give suggestions on how to stay ringworm free when fostering a kitty 😝
⚠️URGENT RESCUE⚠️
Evelyn, A359072
$195 in pledges as of 11/13/25
S*x: Spayed Female
Age: 7 Years Old
Available for Rescue: Yes
Available for Adoption: No
Available for IACS Foster: No
UPDATE 11/13/25: Evelyn has tested positive for ringworm but is eating well and using her litter box consistently. X-rays showed tendon contracture in multiple toes on both front feet and a small bone fragment in her left front paw. Surgical tendon release and fragment removal were recommended, along with lifelong joint supplements and pain management as needed. Evelyn is currently stable and comfortable.
BIO: Evelyn was brought to the shelter after becoming aggressive toward her finder. She is front declawed and has struggled to adjust in the shelter environment. Staff report that she initially hissed and resisted handling but has since become more tolerant of touch, though she remains tense and somewhat lethargic. Evelyn has not been eating or defecating normally and appears uncomfortable. Radiographs have been taken, and she has started medication, but she continues to decline.
IACS does not currently have an on-site veterinarian. Our limited budget is already exhausted and we are unable to provide advanced diagnostics or ongoing medical care in-house.

Indianapolis Animal Care Services, an open-intake municipal shelter, is seeking rescue placement for animals needing alternative outcomes.
All animals listed are at risk of euthanasia, with those on urgent deadlines most at risk due to medical, behavioral, or space concerns. While we aim to honor deadlines, euthanasia may occur sooner if an animal’s condition worsens, or capacity demands it. Our goal is always to provide each animal a chance.
