The story you see is how quickly things turned for me! 1️⃣ minute I’m taking pictures w/delightful colleagues from ME, IA, VA, OK, MI, & oh yeah IL 🤣🤣 (inside joke)… to having an emergency 🚨 surgery! I am very well now but yes, hv an incision in my back b/c of a 7mm kidney stone blockage! 1-2 more surgeries pending on a later date… !! And to top it off, I’m going to miss the Indiana Grown presenting today AAAAND the 🌱 Indiana Black Loam Conference!!! 🥹🥹

Kimberly D. Gorham I thought it was food poisoning from a meal I ate when I returned home… 🤮 so many times in a short time! It was between 3:44am-4:45am but it was a slight relief!

Ambulance 🚑 was there in no time because I called my VAMC (VA Medical Center) “Dial-A-Nurse”👩🏾‍⚕️ who recommended that I call 911.

But extra special thanks to my friend Renee Evans for convincing me to go!

I’m extremely grateful to share the post created by Vets IN Farming honoring Veterans Day! This is the first time I actually saw our group picture of us at our Shipshewana Conference in July 2025! This was taken in the 12th and none of us could barely move after one of the most delicious meals you ever tasted! 👅 The chefs got up at 4am and made everything from scratch! WOW! ! Can you spot Kimberly D. Gorham👆🏾above??

Today we honor all who have served and the families who stand beside them.

At Veterans IN Farming and At Ease Orchard our community is made up of veterans and military spouses who continue to serve through agriculture. We're proud to grow together and give back to this Nation and the people we love.
