🐾 Giving Tuesday Spotlight: Grady, Our Senior Superstar 🐾
At 11 years old, Grady has faced more challenges than most pups—but thanks to your generosity, this sweet senior is thriving and loving life.
Grady came to LOLIN in November 2023, and we immediately got to work addressing his health needs:
🩺 During his neuter surgery, vets removed a large benign tumor from his belly.
🩺 He was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which is managed with daily medication.
🩺 In March, he experienced a terrifying case of bloat, a life-threatening emergency for deep-chested dogs. Despite immediate care and a new prescription diet, he had recurring stomach issues.
🩺 In October, Grady underwent a surgical procedure to “tack” his stomach in place, and he’s been doing wonderfully ever since! Through it all, Grady has remained a happy, affectionate boy who adores everyone he meets. He’s the official “door greeter” at his foster home and loves soaking up all the pets, especially from kids. 🐕✨

Despite it all, this shy, sweet boy just wanted love—and he found it in his foster mom, quickly becoming her shadow. After five months of vet visits and TLC, Winston was finally ready to meet his forever family.
Enter the Boyd family, who drove all the way from Illinois to meet him. The moment Winston walked into the room with his big, lovable head, they were hooked. 💕 As they drove home, Winston rested his head in their son’s lap, and the bond was sealed.
Now, Winston lives his best life as a silly, treat-loving, Zoom-call-crashing companion. He adores his new family, especially waiting at the door for his human brother to return from school.

Hank’s journey wasn’t easy. When he came to LOLIN, he was heartworm positive and had a severely torn ACL. Before he could even think about surgery, Hank had to endure months of treatment to clear his heartworm—a long and challenging wait for both him and his Foster-to-Adopt mom.
But Hank’s story doesn’t stop there. He now serves as a loyal “seeing-eye dog” for his sister, Lydi, who was born with rapidly developing cataracts. Together, they’re not just a team—they’re family. Hank is also the sweetest big brother to his human sibling, Julia.
You’d never know this resilient boy had such a tough start. Today, Hank spends his days chasing squirrels, playing fetch, and loving life with his people. 🐕✨

With heavy hearts, we share the news of Ginger's journey to the Rainbow Bridge. Adopted several years ago, Ginger brought immeasurable joy and love to the Hastings family. Her adoptive family reflects on the incredible bond they shared, learning that the worry of bonding with an adult dog was unfounded. Ginger settled into their hearts and lives, becoming an integral part of the family. For 8 wonderful years, the Hastings family and Ginger embarked on countless adventures—camping, hiking, boating, and swimming—creating cherished memories that will forever linger in their hearts. The Hastings family shared the incredible video of Ginger's adventures below - such a beautiful tribute.
Ginger was the sweetest companion, and though the Hastings family is adjusting to life without her, they are immensely thankful for the time they shared.

Bruno is a sweet and gentle giant who loves attention and making his people happy. He is super intelligent and know commands like sit, come, stay, and more. He loves chasing critters and birds, so he needs at least a six-foot fence. Bruno is also content sunning himself on the back deck.
Car rides are a blast, especially with the wind in his fur! Bruno is a big fan of walks and guess what? he is already potty-trained. He does not require a crate as he is perfectly content sleeping next to his foster parents on the floor.
