While we’re all bundled up like this sweet little Leia, our lab-in-a-sweater, our hearts are warm thinking about the impact you’ll make tomorrow.

🥰Happy Tails: Maya🥰

Maya was only with her foster family a couple short weeks - but goodness, did she make an impression!😊

Kathleen Roesinger Yohe and her husband have to be somewhat particular when they foster, as they have a daughter with special needs who cannot take the sensory overload that some dogs can bring about. Thankfully, things worked out for Maya and the Roesingers beautifully.

"She was the absolute BEST possible situation for our daughter to learn to regulate with a puppy," Kathleen said. "Of course I’m happy we could help a pup in need! I am also SO thankful for 1) opportunity to help my daughter overcome some fears and dysregulation and hope it transfers to other situations as well, and
2) the valuable lessons caring for a pup for 2 weeks taught all 3 kids!"

Now Maya's forever family, the Schaaks, will have an opportunity to soak up all of their new pup's love and affection. Rescue is so often a win for everyone involved - and we love that.🖤🐾

🐾Happy Tails: Weller🐾

It's been a whirlwind for this pup since he joined his forever family at the beginning of the summer! Here's how his family describes it:

"Mr. Weller Fitzgerald has enjoyed many adventures since we adopted him at the end of June. He loves to be outside and enjoys chasing squirrels like it’s his job. His new found love is autumn leaf piles. When he wants attention, he will steal anything that might get you to chase him. He has been a wonderful addition to our family adventures and we are so grateful for his presence!"

We are grateful to adopters like Deanna McCaffery and her family, who give dogs like Weller a chance at a new life. Here's to many adventures ahead for this sweet boy!🐾❤
