Starting 2025 off right with Meal Prep! Their meals have completely upped our meal prep game this year. Tonight we tried their smoked wings, and let me tell you—they’ve earned a spot in my *top three favorite wings of all time.* Absolutely delicious and hassle-free! I can spend less time cooking and more time working with the dogs!

Managing a Multi-Dog Household: Top Tips for Harmony

Honey and her little brother Fred show us what it looks like when two dogs coexist beautifully. During this training session, the goal wasn’t for them to be together, but as two dogs who gladly accept each other, they chose to sit side by side—a perfect example of a balanced relationship. 🐾

Here are my Top Tips for Managing a Multi-Dog Household:

1️⃣ Build Confidence and Positive Interactions: Focus on creating opportunities where your dogs can feel secure and succeed together. Use activities like parallel walks, structured training sessions, or calm downtime to help them build trust and positive associations with each other.

2️⃣ Plan Playtime Wisely: Plan the time your dogs spend together thoughtfully, focusing on activities that promote positive interactions. Structured play, training sessions, or relaxed downtime can help build a strong and respectful relationship between them. Play is important, but it should be structured. Keep an eye on roughhousing, and end play before anyone gets overstimulated. Zoomies are often a sign of stress, not excitement!

3️⃣ Resource Fairness: Always dole out resources like food, toys, and attention equally. Dogs should never feel like they need to compete or “correct” each other over valuable items.

4️⃣ Supervise & Redirect: Be present during interactions to reinforce good behavior and redirect undesirable actions. Don’t wait for tension to escalate; separate dogs before agitation arises.

5️⃣ Respect Their Choices: Not all dogs need to be best friends. Focus on creating an environment where they feel safe and comfortable, and let them decide how close they want to be—like Honey and Fred today!
