We do a lot of silly things, but we rarely get into trouble... because we're so cute! I'm Monty, and I am a seven year old black pug with a sweet disposition. I love to nap and lay around the house. I also love to look out the window and be outside doing outdoor stuff. I love my dad! For a long time, it was just me & him. We are best buddies forever. Then my sister came along. She's ok, sometimes.
Mostly, I just like my dad. My mom came along a few years ago and she is great! But, dad will always be number one. People laugh at me sometimes because my tongue sticks out most of the time. I can't really help it, mom and dad say it's common with dogs like me, and I'm still handsome. It doesn't really bother me, though. I can hold it in sometimes (mom and dad call that my "serious face") but mostly, it just sticks out a little, and that's when I'm most comfortable. I can never get enough to eat, if you want to be my best friend, feed me! And don't ever leave. I have what mom and dad call "separation anxiety." I will bark and nip at your legs and howl. I can't help but be sad, I just LOVE people! The more the merrier, please! And, don't treat me like a dog. I need my own chair at the table. I don't lay in the grass or on the floor, I always need to be up with the people, because I am not a dog! My name is Pearl! I am a high energy, fun loving fawn pug with lots of personality! Dad got me when I was just a tiny puppy and mom joined our family when I was barely 1 year old. I am now a big 4 year old girl. I LOVE my big brother Monty! I protect my family and my house - it is my number one job! If I don't know you yet, I will bark at you, but once I trust you (usually just a minute or so), I just can't keep my tail from wagging! If you want me to be your best friend, just rub my belly (I will lay on my back to make it easy). Or, throw my tennis ball! (And then, retrieve it from under whatever piece of furniture I have gotten it stuck under!) I have never loved anything more than my tennis ball - well, other than my family. Mom and dad pick out the best toys for me! I wish mom and dad didn't have to go to work everyday. I would love to be out and about and playing all the time! My big brother just sleeps, the whole day! And I want to play. So I just wait for mom and dad, and then go CRAZY when they get home! When I crash, though, I crash hard. Snoring is my specialty! Mom says I snore louder than dad, even! I love to get pampered! Mom takes me to get my nails painted and puts pretty bows on my collar. I am her little princess, and I love it! Sometimes I get in trouble for being too bossy and mean to my brother. But, it's my job to protect mom and dad, and sometimes, I think Monty is trying to bite them! They tell me he's just trying to play, but I don't know if I can trust them, so I bite his ears, and he yelps, and then I get spanked. I don't like it, but I go right back to my job because I have to! All in all, it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it! We have a pretty glamorous life. We like to go on very short walks, play in our backyard, snuggle with mom and dad, and pose for LOTS of pictures. So give us a "like" and follow along!
