Random skulls that have been through the shop the last 2 months

Locked set of 2 giants. Wish it was degreased alot more than it is, to get the white color for the skulls, but pulled them after 3 months of being in the degreasing tank. To prevent them from coming apart, i drilled small holes into the spots where the racks were touching, pushed apoxie sculpt in the hole, then a metal bar behind the apoxie.

I said that i wanted to post alot of the things we are getting done in the shop, at the begining of the year. Well, i have failed so far on that. It has been a crazy first year being full time, i never thought it would get this busy. Sooooo....with that being said, here is something we worked on and finished for a customer. The board was not the final spot for it, just something to lay it on to show the finished skin.

Had a unique opportunity come into the shop. Customer found this 216" buck while shed hunting. It had been sitting with the hide still on it and the antlers were sun bleached. I was able to clean, degrease and whiten the skull and completely re-color the entire rack for him. Yes, there is a salvage tag for this deer.

Just wanted to let customers know, i am getting busier everyday and I will be in the shop Monday-Sunday to get your euro mount and fur tanned. I am trying to make your turn around time as short as possible but I don't want to sacrifice the quality for a fast return.

A very unique opportunity came into the shop today. A gentleman who has trapped for over 60yrs brought in raccoon that is all white, witht the exception of faint, grey rings around its tail. I am not sure what im going to do with it, either tan it or do a full body mount. Either way, I am humbled that the trapper chose to offer it to me.
