Jeff Anderson came out to try Mounted Shooting for the first time. Him and his mare were able to successfully shoot a full pattern with full loads. Welcome to the wonderful sport.
CMSA Futurity 2024
EE OlenaLastPeppyJac (Sheldon) competing at the 2024 CMSA Futurity. He was calm, cool and confident. This was his 6th shoot. We finished in the middle of the pack with some very competitive 4yr olds. I am looking forward to continuing to compete on him and get ready for the 2025 CMSA Derby.
SMOKINIC UP (Louie) competing in AQHA at the 2024 Eastern Championships. He is definitely learning how to run more flat and with more confidence. We finished 3rd in the Ladies Open AQHA. Thank you Chase Combs for the opportunity to work with such a cool horse.
The Labor Day retreat was fantastic. The best people, horses, fun and food make for the perfect retreat. Horsemanship, cattle, shooting and more. An afternoon at the lake was perfect too. We had a great weekend.

We had a fun little jackpot under the lights. We had 11 participants. We ran 3 stages and paid each stage. 1D won $83/stage, 2D won $49/stage and 3D won $33/stage. Shooting at night is so much fun and we had a great time. Thank you to everyone that came out and for all the help.
83 years young and John is getting started in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. How impressive is that!?
Jazzy June 2nd time shooting
“Jazzy June” 2nd time being shot off. Her first time shooting a pattern and balloons.
New Shooter
Welcome to the sport Taylor. This is her second time shooting and her first lesson here. You and your horse did AWESOME!
The 2024 annual Memorial Day retreat was amazing. The camaraderie and support from everyone was fantastic. We ate really well and did a lot of riding. We worked on Horsemanship, Ranchmanship patterns, the cutting flag, drills, mounted shooting, played games, worked cattle, did obstacles, and played a little soccer. We even got some lake time. I am already looking forward to the next one.
