Meet Bitsy!
Bitsy is a one year old aussie/hound mix. She is absolutely gorgeous and is as sweet as they come. Where are our cat lovers? Because although Bits is very much a dog, she can be super cat-like! Bitsy enjoys the finer cat things in life such as napping on the top of your sofa, sun bathing, and stealthily patrolling her home. Bitsy is selective when it comes to her people. She is always sweet and always kind, but she will retreat to a quiet place if she does not feel comfortable. Bitsy would do great with another friendly dog to learn from. She is kid, dog, and cat friendly, but she really likes 'her person' and loves it most when it is just her and her person alone... that's when she is most playful and excited.

Tigger !
Check out Tigger!! He is looking for his furever!
Tigger is a male 2 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix who is on his way to living his best tripawd life after a kind citizen was able to catch him in the woods that he called home for a few months and bring him in to the local animal
shelter. His leg was amputated to correct an old injury incurred prior to surrender to the shelter. Don't let the fact that he is a tripawd fool you once Tigger warms up to you, he will run zoomies and chase a ball better and faster than his 4-legged companions! He is also a sweet snuggler who is happy to curl up with his people on the couch and sleep in with you in your bed, but if co-sleeping is not for you, he is also happy on his dog bed or in his cozy crate with a small peanut butter filled Kong.
Tigger is the definition of a rescue and will need a patient owner in a quiet home that is willing to take things slowly with him, and that is willing to give him plenty of time and a safe space to decompress and learn that he part of your family. Tigger LOVES his bed and blanket in his crate as he has come to learn that this is his "man cave," a safe space for him to relax and store his most treasured toys and snacks. A family with an established small dog companion would be best to help him feel secure and learn the ropes, as well as to provide him a playmate and help him settle in faster. Tigger loves his smaller foster dog siblings! Tigger will need help socializing with people and going on new adventures but, with your lead and the help of a companion dog, does very well on confidence-building
outings. It is recommended that he be in a well-fitted harness for adventures outside of the house as he tends to back out of a collar, and a martingale collar is not conducive to him building confidence.
Given his skittishness and history of being a wild mountain man, a house with a securely fenced yard is best, and his new family will need to take him on leashed, supervised potty breaks u
