Update. I apologize for the delay. I am dealing with some issues on this page. My great-grandson drew names for these girls. The video is precious. He loves being a part.

This was so tragic! Mikayla took her life over being bullied. By the public and other rescues! I will never understand why there is such animosity among groups with the same and only goal...saving wildlife. The minute you become permitted or subbed, the ego shouldn't come with you. I've heard horrible stories from all over the country. Permit holders, teach this in your routine, yearly training courses. No room for egos, if you are actually Rehabbing!

My fellow Directors/Rehabbers...STOP THIS!! Words can and will cause tragic consequences, as in the case of a precious soul like Mikayla. 😭

I'm always available to listen and talk to anyone suffering from this. Send a message, I'll call you. I've Rehabbed 20 years. Ive seen amazing Rehabbers burnout over nonsense. Shame on all!! Stop! Just have respect for each other. Rescue is NOT about numbers, how much better your team is, or likes on Facebook!!

Anyone that has Rehabbed under me, knows I mean all this.

NEW: Famous YouTuber and fox rescuer sadly takes her own life due to online bullying, according to her husband.

Horrible.

29-year-old Mikayla Raines took her life after suffering from mental health issues and online bullying.

"She couldn’t bear what she was feeling any longer, and she ended her life," her husband, Ethan Raines, said.

"It breaks my heart that someone who is selfless and devoted her life to animals could have so much negativity pointed at her."

"To those of you that pushed her to this, every one of you that had been responsible for making her feel this way, I wish you had to feel what she felt."

Raines had more than 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube and 3 million followers on TikTok.

She started SaveAFox Rescue, an animal rescue nonprofit, in 2017 at the age of 20.

She leaves behind her husband and young daughter.

3 raccoon intakes on 5/29. Eyes closed.
All 3 are females around 2 weeks old.
These girls need names.
#1 is the runt
#2 is laid back and chilled
#3 is a WILD child
It took a while to get used to the bottle. But, they figured it out. See the milk comas below. LOL

Please help your local rescues with donations. Rescues do not receive federal or state funding and depend solely on your donations. Below is only one example of an estimated cost to rehab a raccoon. But, we find a way.
