❣️ From one of our amazing volunteers ❣️

We had the pleasure of having Blue for a sleepover. What a terrific dog! He’s so sweet sometimes we called him Sugar. Blue did wonderful riding in the car, sleeping at night and had zero accidents. Blue responded well to “leave it”. When the fireworks went off and the garbage truck came by, those sounds didn’t bother him at all. Blue is energetic, has some idea of basic commands, and is eager to please. On our walk he was excited to meet a family but with a command he quickly calmed down allowing the kids 2-12 to pet him. He has great instincts, and will do very well with some basic training.

Blue is available today for adoption ❤️

Animal Control isn’t out to “get” anyone. We strive to educate when possible, show grace when circumstances warrant it, and offer every opportunity for pet owners to take responsibility and move in the right direction.

At the end of the day, if a pet is left alone in unacceptable conditions and we can’t reach the owner, they are coming with us.

Out of the elements, a nice soft bed, fresh water and some good grub! She is feeling our love tonight at JCAS. ❤️

Thank you to the people that care enough to report welfare concerns. Without you, animals would suffer needlessly. We are here to help and protect them. We all have to be their voice.

Ozzie has been here so often, he knows our intake process and now he sits and smiles for his mugshot.

3rd visit in one month

I’m not sure if he thinks he’s going to get frequent flyer awards or just likes our treats.

DOG: Meet Cherry, she is a 4 year old mixed breed who came in as a stray. Cherry is a thicker girl at 94 lbs. She knows some basic commands and is housetrained. When meeting another dog, she can be a bit standoffish at first, but quickly warms up and gets playful. Cherry is alert and curious, she has a big deep bark. She watched the cats in the cat room, and even though they hated her she just walked away

CAT: Ada is a 3 year old, light gray and beige tabby who came in as a stray. Ada is very sweet, she looks forward to visitors and likes attention. She is selective about her feline friends and sometimes needs her space. Ada has pretty green eyes and an adorable pink nose. Stop by and meet this sweet girl today
