These two precious girls are Maggie and Montana. They are everything good about beagles with very little of the bad. They're house broken, crate trained, good with kids, they don't bother the kitties in their foster home, and would love nothing more than to be your best friend. They're both available for adoption. We'd love to keep them together, but we know that's difficult so it's not a requirement. They're 3 years old and are at the age where they're more calm and hang out, less wide open/ full send. They're heartworm negative, vaccinated, spayed, and up to date on their monthly prevention. They're currently located in a foster home, but we are happy to set up a meet and greet for interested adopters. Their adoption fee is $80 each.

This little love bug is Nugget and she is PRECIOUS!!! She's 12-ish weeks old and has been with us since she was only 4 weeks! She's growing up chunky and strong and is ready to find her forever family! She is a boxer or bully mix of some kind (a good old west Tennessee brown dog) and, based on her growth pattern and current size, we're estimating her to be 45-50 lbs when she's grown. She loves snuggles and play time with her human and pupper friends. She hasn't been around cats, but she's young enough to acclimate to them. She is 100% spastic, playful marshmallow and would be a great addition to almost any household. She's been vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, and is ready to roll out of here. We're open for adoption 12-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday and her adoption fee is $80.

We have a passel of "tweenagers" who would LOVE to find homes of their own. They're all 4-7 months old, good with kids and other dogs, and working on house manners. They're the perfect age to start crate training and learning new house rules. All of these guys and gals are going to be 40-50 pounds when they're grown. It's a great size for road trips and adventure buddies, because they're large enough to be durable but small enough to fit comfortably in the passenger seat! Everyone's info has been added under their picture and we would LOVE to see some of these babies get adopted over the weekend! We're open 12-4 pm for adoptions and their fee is only $80. Everyone is spayed/neutered, heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and up to date on monthly preventions.

This cutie patootie is finally available for adoption, and they don't come any more adorable than Zinfandel! She's a pup currently and we're guessing she will top out between 30 and 40 pounds. She loves people, plays well with other dogs, and is cat friendly (but annoys the tar or of them). She's spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and ready to find her forever family! Her adoption fee is $80. We're open 12-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday for adoptions.

Last week, the City of Jackson Maintenance Department threw on their capes and played Superman for a kitty stuck WAY up in a tree at Malesus Park. Acorns found himself out on a limb and couldn't get down. Michael Earney braved the height and the wind to bring Acorns down safely. Nobody has reached out to claim him (the cat, not Michael), so he will be available for adoption this weekend after he finishes his vetting requirements. Hero video takes priority, but a post-rescue photo of Acorns is in the comments. Spoiler alert, he's adorbs!

Admiral is going live on stage in The Nutcracker Ballet at the Civic Center in T- minus 6 minutes! He'll be in Act I for all performances this weekend and is available for adoption!

Who's looking for a mini panther who sounds like he comes with a custom outboard motor? Well, Mr. Austin Nathaniel is your guy! This distinguished chonker is a svelt fella with height and reach on him. He's like the LeBron James of the cat world. He's a happy guy with stunning green eyes, and he purrs like it's his job. He loves pets and would love even more to go home with you! He's fully vetted and ready to roll out of here, so if you're looking for a large guy during this "big boy season," you should definitely come meet him! His adoption fee is only $40.

Gizmo and Luna are 2 of our longest running residents here at the shelter and would LOVE to go home. They were surrendered together and are a bonded pair that are good with other cats, dogs and Children. They wanted me to tell you that you're never too old to razzle dazzle and they've still got plenty of playful in their system, even though they're mature enough to make a good lap warmer. Their adoption fee has been discounted to $40 for the pair as long as the prospective home is cleared for adoption. They're available for meet and greet anytime during our adoption hours. 12-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
