Who's looking for a mini panther who sounds like he comes with a custom outboard motor? Well, Mr. Austin Nathaniel is your guy! This distinguished chonker is a svelt fella with height and reach on him. He's like the LeBron James of the cat world. He's a happy guy with stunning green eyes, and he purrs like it's his job. He loves pets and would love even more to go home with you! He's fully vetted and ready to roll out of here, so if you're looking for a large guy during this "big boy season," you should definitely come meet him! His adoption fee is only $40.

Sweet, old Lottie Dottie is a senior madam with almost no teeth, bad hips, and the sweetest loves. Realistically, she's on the downward slope of her golden years, but she deserves a family as much as any pup does. She needs a home that has a soft spot for the slow walkers. The ones without much pep in their step, but with oceans of love to still give. The ones that can't see that well, but will still recognize you by the sound of your voice. She's docile and sweet and needs a soft bed to ease the old bones for the remainder of her time this side of the rainbow bridge. We know it can be hard to consider adopting a dog that you'll lose sooner rather than later, but the importance of love in this stage of life cannot be overstated. We are waiving her adoption fee to an approved home and want her to be loved as much as possible for as long as possible. We're open until 4 pm today if a family would like to meet her.

Calling all Heeler people! Puddin needs a Hail Mary rescue or adopter. He is a GREAT dog and is exactly what his breed is supposed to be. Unfortunately for Puddin, high-drive dogs who are bred to tangle with 2,000lb bulls don't do well in a shelter environment. He needs a job or very active lifestyle with a human who is comfortable setting firm boundaries and training him the way his intellect deserves. He is confident and outgoing, loves affection and playtime, responds well to correction, and will be a FANTASTIC best buddy to the right person or family. Please share him everywhere. We are completely out of space and he has until Friday to find placement. There is no pull fee for 501c3 rescues and we are waiving his adoption fee to an approved home. He is neutered, heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and up to date on his monthly flea/heartworm prevention.

Bonus points because he is also emotionally available, will listen to all of the work gossip without rolling his eyes, will cuddle you without nefarious intentions, and will be nice to your mother when she drops in unannounced. He's a young adult who plays well with all other dogs he's met, doesn't seem to mind cats and is gentle enough that he'd do well with dog-savvy kids. He's vetted and ready to roll out of this place in time to be your date to the bogus Christmas party you have to go to

Rupert has mastered looking sad while also looking festive. He is the Eeyore of holiday spirit. He may not look excited to be at the party but he is so glad to have been invited. He's a cuddle bug who wants to pile up with you and his emotional support blanket for Hallmark movies and snacks. He's a middle-aged adult who is low-speed and easy.

Felicia Fantasia (brindle) is a goofy pup who loves outdoor romps and inside naps equally. She is a sweetheart and is wondering why she's the only one in her litter to still be left at the shelter. She's 16 weeks old and wants to be "Home for the Holidays"!

Cato is a squishmallow of a fella who wants all the lovins he can get his paws on. He's quiet and cuddly but enjoys playtime and new adventures as long as his people are with him. He's 12 ish weeks old and is such a handsome boy! He told us that Santa has assured him that the perfect family will see him in time for him to be home for Christmas!

All of these babies get along with other dogs and seem to do well with cats. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and up to date on monthly preventions. They love people of all sizes and their adoption fees are all $80.

***ADOPTED!!!***

Siku is almost 3 years old and has been here for SEVEN MONTHS waiting on the right someone to see him. Outside of a kennel, he will follow his people step by step, loves adventures and seeing new places, is house-broken and crate-trained, does well with most other dogs, and doesn't bother cats. At the shelter in a concrete kennel, he is losing his marbles. Huskies are smart and sensitive and this environment is killing him. He needs a miracle for Christmas! He walks beautifully on a leash and lived in a home for 2 years before being surrendered, so he's used to being a spoiled, indoor fella. He's as handsome as he is smart, and would look divine snoozing in front of your tv! Please share him far and wide, if his mental health continues to decline, we will be forced to make a hard choice and none of us want that. He deserves a happy ever after! He is located in Jackson, TN but we can transport up to 3 hours in any direction for a 501c3 rescue.

With Thanksgiving just a few hours away, Jovie wants to tell everyone that she's so thankful for the people who support animal welfare efforts in our community. She's alive today because our City believes in second chances and doing what we can to make them happen. She also wants to remind people of a few precautions for the holiday.

Many will have guests and loads of food placed out for mass consumption. Pets are often stressed by the strange smells (food & friends) with commotion making escapes more likely.

1. ID. Make sure your pets are wearing their collars and tags. Microchips are great, but they are not visible without a scanner.

2. Keep food safe and no scraps. The vets are closed, and no one wants an emergency vet visit as the Thanksgiving wrap up.

3. Be kind. Remind visitors that your pets are the residents and they need to respect them in their home. Visiting? Don’t force your fingers on Fido or Frisky.

4. Kids. Yours or someone else’s should be watched around pets. Many bites occur when little ones (or bigger ones) are not supervised. Be sure that the kids' table isn’t ignored.

5. Trash. Secure the lids. No bones where pets can get to them. Outside? No bags left out. Smells travel, and you may find others visiting as well.

6. Driving. Watch out for wayward pets. Scared and loose is not a good combo.
