The wait is almost over! 🎉🐾

After months (okay, years!) of planning, dreaming, and building, we’re thrilled to share that our move into the new Jackson Animal Care Center building is right around the corner. Progress is happening every day, and by later this fall we’ll finally be opening the doors to a space designed to give our animals and community the very best. 🏡💙

This has been a long-awaited journey, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing community. Thank you for cheering us on every step of the way, we can’t wait to welcome you in to see the new home you helped make possible!

🌟 Meet Seraphina 🌟

This little tripod wonder is proof that three really is the magic number. At just 16 weeks old, Seraphina had surgery to remove a deformed front leg, and she has healed up beautifully. Now she’s rocking life on three legs like it was her plan all along.

Seraphina is fully vetted, gets along great with other dogs, adores humans of all sizes, and doesn’t mind cats either. She’s basically the whole package, minus one leg—and honestly, she doesn’t even notice.

She hops, she zooms, she cuddles, and she proves daily that “less leg” definitely does not mean “less dog.” If anything, it makes her extra special.

So if you’ve got room in your life for a dog with three times the charm, Seraphina is ready to hop, skip, and wiggle right into your heart. 🐾

Everyone, meet Fulton! He's our very own real-life Snuffleupagus. He's the four-year-old professional couch potato you never knew you needed. At 4 years old, Fulton is the definition of slow, steady, and chill. He’s the big, gentle friend who just sort of appears, melts your heart, and then shuffles off to find the comfiest nap spot in the house. He’s great with other dogs, kind with kids, and would fit into pretty much any home dynamic—as long as you’re okay with a buddy who moves at a pace somewhere between “snail” and “molasses.”
Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room (or rather, the dog in the room): Fulton has some ongoing skin issues. Don’t worry, they’re not contagious. He just needs some continuous treatment, which we’ll help kick-start by sending him home with six months of meds at adoption. Think of it as his little spa routine—because even chill dudes need a bit of skincare. It's his version of Snuffleupagus’s long eyelashes—it’s just part of what makes him uniquely him. If you’re looking for a dog who’s more “Sunday nap” than “Saturday night rave,” Fulton’s your guy. Come meet him today and see why slow and steady really does win the race. 🐾

🚨 Goofballs on the Loose 🚨

Reggie and Toni are young, sweet, and playful… which is code for “they’re basically furry toddlers with zoomies.” They’re fully vetted (shots, spay/neuter, the whole shebang), so really the only thing missing is you.

Reggie specializes in ridiculous faces and awkward wiggles. Toni? She’s the life of the party, even if the party is just you trying to fold laundry. Together, they’re a sitcom waiting to happen.

✅ Pros: snuggles, laughter, free serotonin.
❌ Cons: you’ll never p*e alone again.

🚨 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 🚨

Right now, we have over 100 dogs and puppies waiting for a chance to come into our program, but the truth is, we can’t say “yes” to them without foster homes. There's just not enough room in the building.

Becoming a foster parent is one of the most lifesaving things you can do. We cover the medical care and needed supplies, and you provide:
🐾 A safe home for 6–8 weeks (2-3 weeks for puppies)
🐾 Transportation to the shelter or vet for appointments or adoption meets
🐾 Plenty of love, snuggles, and snacks
🐾 Cute pictures of the pup during foster care to help them get adopted

Every foster family opens the door for another dog to escape a bad situation and begin the journey to their forever home. ❤️

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time. It costs you nothing, and we cannot do this without you.
