Yet she made herself comfortable just like before… she is just a bit bigger this time!
Our Huskies, Skyla and Aspen, are happy to have their friend in the house!!

When you are sent home from school sick 🤧 but need a little fresh air… 🌬️
Just feed the animals some snacks 🌻 while you sit back and relax!
In this photo you see a common, irritable, pre-teen man child who enjoys a lazy 💤 day with no school and no zoo chores… 🧹 🧽
Just kidding! (Kind of) Hunter is recovering from a cold and took some time to get some fresh air and pulled down a sunflower snack for his friends.
These are Patagonian Cavys (Maras) and while they look like a hybrid deer/donkey/kangaroo/bunny, they are actually in the rodent 🐀 family! What is really cool is that they are actually the FOURTH largest rodent in the WORLD 🌍 that are native to Central and South America.

We personally believe that the most effective way to instill a passion for wildlife 🦘 in our youth is through unforgettable experiences.
Making a personal connection with an animal will always make a bigger impact than any other way of learning about animals.
Make it one of your 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ New Year’s resolutions 🎉🎆 to go meet a new animal species that you may have never seen before!

🚨‼️ATTENTION! HELP NEEDED THIS WEEK🚨‼️

I have started to reschedule some of our tours that had to be canceled during the past two hurricanes. Starting this coming Saturday I have a fully booked day of tours. I was so confident that we would be all done today with clean up around the facility… but that didn’t go as planned. I have now unfortunately horribly messed up my back and the pain is pretty unbearable at this point and I can barely move. (Don’t worry I promise not to reschedule your tours again)
I am reaching out for one last push to get this cleanup finished! We are really so close to being done but there is no way I can finish on my own! I can offer you a future visit for an official tour for free if you can volunteer at least 5 hours of your time before Saturday (bring your friends so they can get free tours too)!!!
Please message me if you are able to help, we would really appreciate it and the animals are looking forward to having tours back!!

Happy to have S&H Power Services Inc helping out Tampa Electric all the way from Nova Scotia on our property working so hard today! We are so thankful and all I could do to show them thanks was offer them some lukewarm water bottles and some animal therapy! Unfortunately our transformer actually EXPLODED during the storm so they had to completely replace it! While waiting for the new transformer to come (only took them 10 minutes to get it here! Can’t believe how fast they work!) I was able to give them a quick tour to meet all of the animals that they are helping get power back to! Hopefully I was able to make their long day working in this heat a bit more enjoyable! They are working so hard and incredibly fast!! They have most of our neighbors around us back up with power and hopefully it won’t be much longer for us!!

Newest dilemma… there seems to be a raw chicken shortage. Since everyone is out of power they are buying up all the food that can be cooked on a grill!!! We have lots of animals who only eat chicken! If you are at the store (Riverview and nearby areas only, since there is also a gas shortage I can’t travel far) let me know so I can get there asap! After today we will be completely out. I also am helping another zoo nearby locate some as well as they are having the same problem. What I am mainly looking for is chicken hearts, gizzards, liver and drumsticks/ quarters. We are also looking for local places with crickets and worms! Thank you for keeping an eye out!
