KONA is practicing her most pathetic faces to pull at the heart strings of everyone, of someone, of anyone who is good, so she doesn’t have to go back to the shelter. 😢
Today was her first day alone at my place while I went to work. She was beyond the best house guest! No potty accidents, she didn’t mess with a thing and she’s as quiet as a mouse. This girl is just looking for a loving 🥰 place to lay her head. I’m temporarily fostering her for a few days through Jax ACPS. If you are interested in adopting or taking over her fostering please PM me or email [email protected] This girl is really struggling at the shelter. It’s just too much stress for her. At the shelter she carries her metal food bowl in her mouth for some sort of comfort 💔 PLEASE SHARE KONA 🙏🏻 7 years old, 45lbs, potty trained, good leash walker, loves napping and car rides. Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

This is literally the SWEETEST boy!!!! Such a gentle punkin’ man! And he has a cute fluffy coat!!! He needs a little grocery therapy and a soft bed and someone to snuggle with and he’ll be all set!!! Love him….seriously!!! And he’s soooo potty trained!

🚨 Help Urgently Needed! 🚨

ACPS is full-we are currently caring for 264 dogs and 144 cats. We are thankful to everyone in the community that has adopted and fostered in the last week and a half! You made a difference but there are still many animals in need.

Here’s how you can help!

Adopt or Foster: We need the most help with dogs over 45 pounds. Stop by the shelter and we can find a great match for you. Adoptions are free all until Sunday, August 15th.

Donate: We can always use soft treat like pupperoni, velveeta style cheese, kitten food, Vienna sausages and hot dogs. Support our partners Friends of Jacksonville Animals. They provide advanced medical care for ACPS and support pet owners in our community.

Help Lost Dogs Reunite with their Families: Before bringing a lost dog to the shelter try to reunite them with their owner. Did you know that most lost dogs are found less than a mile away from home?

Ask for help: If you need help please ask us. We want to keep pets with their families and may be able to direct you to resources that can do just that.

The animal loving community of Jacksonville is amazing and we know we can do this! Thank you for your support!

Update: adopted

As of today Curt has been waiting patiently an entire year for his forever home💔. Through it all, he has remained a happy and well behaved boy while he hopes daily that today will be his day that he goes home forever! That in itself is a true testament to his spirit! Won’t you consider this gorgeous and silly boy? He’s 8 years old and past the point of puppy shenanigans-he won’t eat your couch or your shoes. He has lived previously with other dogs. He walks great on a leash and will match your pace. He knows basic commands, and is potty trained. He would prefer a home without cats. He is ready to snuggle and be your best couch potato/Netflix buddy. He gives the cutest hugs and most gentle kisses, and loves his toys. He has the silliest baby bark and snores when he sleeps. I could go on and on with how much I love this boy and all his great qualities...but what he really needs, is a forever home. He’s been bounced around, and waiting forever. He needs a committed adopter who will be his person and not treat this lightly and just bring him back because you haven’t made sure he’s allowed at your apartment, or you already have 3 dogs and after a month realize 4 is too many. I NEED Curt to be “home”. Those of us who love and have cared for him at the shelter over the last year need peace of mind knowing this very deserving and sweet dog has finally gotten the love and stability of forever. Curt’s waited long enough....don’t you think? I will never stop advocating for this boy. He deserves more. Go meet him today!!! Please.

Curt wants to know what a guy’s got to do to land his forever human? He’s been waiting patiently for ONE YEAR!!!! Come on Jacksonville! This is a GOOD BOY!! There must be someone looking for an 8 year young couch potato to snooze the day away with! Show yourselves‼️‼️
He just came back from a two week staycation and his hosts said this kid is AMAZE-BALLS and SO EASY!! GO GET HIM!!!
