But before you celebrate… be prepared!

Lost pet cases increase 1,100% during holidays with firework celebrations.

Don’t let your pet become a statistic.

Keep your pets secured at ALL times on New Year’s Eve AND New Year’s Day.

What we’ve observed is that more pets run away on this day from random fireworks popping off in the neighborhood, than during an expected night time show.

The same applies on New Year’s Day when people think the fireworks are over.

Be sure to stay extra vigilant during today and tomorrow.
If you have guests visiting, be sure to have your dog secured (in a quiet, separate room preferably) so they don’t sneak out when someone opens a door.

Keep a collar with your contact info on your dogs, and if they have a GPS tracker or AirTag, make sure it’s charged.

Lastly, if your pet does get out, be sure to contact us right away!

Pippa, the indoor-only cat, escaped and was missing for nearly five days… 🐈‍⬛ 💨 🏡

Her family scoured the neighborhood, day and night, and were unsuccessful in finding her. Given the recent coyote activity in the neighborhood, they began to fear the worst.

After all else failed, they were referred to us by a neighbor. They immediately reached out to us, hoping we could help find some answers.

Within two hours, we found Pippa — nearby and unharmed!

Around midnight, our team received a call requesting for immediate assistance to help search for George, a lost dog that was involved in a car accident earlier in the day. The family had already searched the area for over 12 hours… and began to fear the worst. 😭

We arrived within minutes and began conducting our aerial search using our thermal drone. After three hours of searching 200+ acres of land, we found George immobilized in the woods!

He was immediately rescued and is now back home safe!

Nothing is better than sharing the GPS coordinates of a found pet with their owner. At that very moment you hold the keys 🔑 to making their family whole once again. 🐾 🥰

Last night, we finally had the opportunity to use in practice the new app feature that allows Remote Pilots to quickly share GPS coordinates via QR code. 🌎📍

For those who don’t know the story, we met with DJI Enterprise back in August and requested that they add this feature we designed for this very reason.

It was rolled out a month later! 👏👏👏

PSA! 📣 We have observed a SIGNIFICANT increase in coyote activity during the last four months while investigating lost pet cases throughout the Mandarin and Julington Creek areas.

Be sure to keep cats inside and small/medium dogs on a leash, ESPECIALLY during the evening, night, and early morning.

Don’t think it can’t or won’t happen to your pet. Coyotes are extremely skilled hunters that routinely traverse a territory typically spanning 7 to 14 miles wide. They will dig holes and scale tall fences to reach their prey.

They seemingly appear out of nowhere in populated neighborhoods, where we usually hear people say that they’ve “never seen a coyote before”.

Coyotes typically hunt in a neighborhood for a couple days and move on, only to randomly return weeks, or even months later.

They rely on pet owners to underestimate their presence, skills, and speed.

Most people won’t ever see them, as they typically hunt in darkness. And if you do happen to catch a glimpse of one, it’s usually only through the lens of an outdoor home security camera or wildlife trail camera.

Please keep your pets safe and secure. This is not a drill.

All week we’ve been searching for Felix... 🐈‍⬛

During our investigation, we confirmed that coyotes had traversed the neighborhood on the very night he disappeared.

We’ve since observed several other cats roaming on the same street, so that gives us hope we’ll find him soon! 🤞

This gorgeous golden retriever, Reyha, had recently been adopted by her new owner from a rescue in South Florida.

On the drive back home, she made a quick stop to show off her new pup to her family. Upon arrival, Reyha slipped away from her new owner’s grasp and decided to go for a little run…

Her new owner spent the evening hours trying to catch her, but Reyha ultimately evaded capture by scaling a fence, disappearing deep into the dense woods.

That’s when her owner learned about our services from a neighbor, and reached out to us for help.

Long story short, Reyha decided that it wasn’t going to be a little sprint… it was going to be a full marathon!

We managed this case for 23 days straight, tracking her journey across 13 miles to a small town called Nocatee, which is where our team eventually humanely trapped her!

We are so happy she’s finally home! 🐕 🥰

This pup escaped and was missing for two days, without any sightings… 😮

The owners took time off from work and did everything they could to try and find her, without any luck.

Then they read about how we’ve helped others in the area find lost pets, so they contacted us. 📞

Upon arrival, we deployed our thermal drone, and within minutes, we found Harley hiding in the woods! 🥳

Nothing makes us happier than finding lost pets…

But being able to buy new equipment brings a smile to our faces, too. That said, our new commercial drone landing pad arrived today!

After all the abuse endured across dozens of lost pet cases and hundreds of flights so far this year, it was about time we upgraded to one that is larger and more durable. It’s the simple things that truly make our job easier! 😁

Oregano 🌿 is back home! 🏡 🐈‍⬛ 🥳

The owner only had this beautiful Bengal for two days before she escaped. We were called out to search the next night, and we eventually found a large dark colored cat in a patch of woods only a few hundred feet away but we could not get to her.

We needed to come back during the day in order to continue the search, but we had class all week for our thermography certification.

Thankfully, putting out scent items and smelly food all week led Oregano to come home all on her own! 🥰

GATOR UPDATE — he is now home! We flew for eight hours searching in the immediate days following his disappearance, but he was no where to be found.

Finally, after 18 long days without any credible sightings, he appeared out of nowhere… lifeless in a neighbors yard, badly burned and in critical condition.

His amazing family has spared no expense in his treatment. This little man is a survivor and we wish him a fast recovery! 🤞🐾🐈

AERIS UPDATE — we finally got her, she is now home! 🥳

We searched 1,200+ acres by air, but ultimately narrowed down her movements using community sightings over a span of nine days.

From day one, we advised our client that due to the complexities of Aeris’s case, we felt that there was a significant chance that we would have to use a trap to rescue. To do this, we must first find her ‘home base’.

Our client, Juergen, did an amazing job finding Aeris’s eventual ‘home base’ over the proceeding days. He did this using our expert guidance on deploying makeshift feed stations and trail cameras, in addition to relying on community sighting reports.

His trail cam efforts eventually spotted Aeris approximately a hundred feet into a wooded path connected to a large power line utility easement. On day two, Justin, our UAS Remote Pilot, predicted this area to the owner as a likely area Aeris would eventually roam to — given that the environment was very hospitable to a lost dog.

On the final day, a volunteer’s trail cam sighted Aeris again in the same aforementioned location, so the owner hurriedly attempted a direct in-person rescue, against our advice. Unfortunately, the volunteer who brought the camera (not affiliated with us) introduced unnecessary urgency to the owner causing him to rush to the location of the camera in hopes to grab Aeris, which only caused Aeris to run away and hide. Needless to say, it wasn’t best practice and didn’t work.

In any case, now that our required conditions were met, we quickly transitioned to our trapping phase! 🪤🐕

Although some conflicts presented themselves, Aeris was successfully trapped at 3AM! We are so happy she is now HOME! 🏡🐾☺️

We want to give a HUGE THANKS to the many residents of the Cimarrone and Durbin Crossing communities who contributed sighting reports. Aeris wouldn’t be home without you! 👏

And lastly, an honorable mention is extended to the unnamed pair of volunteers who operated in bad faith by intervening in our case. They learned the details of our case, misrepresented facts to our team which lead to us allowing them to work with us to trap Aeris. We made the call to do what was best for Aeris, and ultimately those decisions are what got her home!

We’ve been on her case a few days now, but this girl is very smart, runs fast, and knows how hide quickly without detection.

We are at the phase now where we wait for sightings to narrow down her location, in hopes to guide her owners to her. That said, however, we have a professional trapper on standby, as we believe there is significant probability she won’t be rescuable in person.

SISU UPDATE — after seven days and 3,000+ acres searched, we finally found Sisu! 🥳

She is now home again and happy! 🏡 🐕

Huge shoutout to the search volunteers and residents of the SilverLeaf community. Without the many reports of sightings, we couldn’t have ever narrowed the search area. 🙏

And most of all, thank you to Sisu’s family… Tatiana and Gus for trusting us to help find their fur baby!

Tatiana did an amazing job rescuing Sisu using our proven techniques — she spoke softly, sat down, gave space, and did not approach! 👏👏👏

ELSA UPDATE — nearing the end of a grueling five hour search using our thermal drone, we found Elsa in a small wooded area a half-mile from her home!

We relocated to this area, and within minutes, observed a black dog matching her description pop out of the wooded area (for two seconds) before running back into the woods.

Unfortunately, we could not rescue her because she would not come to us. 😞

The owner was immediately notified. He came out this morning and is now actively searching the area.
