I know food pics aren't always what we want to see, but I really want to share this!

I decided to experiment for breakfast.

Roasted sweet potatoes, turnips, and finger carrots (rainbow variety). I didn't want to waste the turnip greens, so I sautΓ©ed them with garlic, shallots, lemon, and white wine. And, of course, my fresh pasture raised eggs.

Farm to table gourmet breakfast. I didn't grow the garlic or shallots, but I grew everything else and harvested what I needed on the spot.

This lifestyle we have worked so hard to create is giving back so much. I wish everyone could have this available to them πŸ’—.

The Johnson-Su Bio Reactor workshop was fantastic. We all gained the knowledge of this superior fungal compost build. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a very special thank you to Sofya T Brown for all of her hard work and knowledge and for making this possible. She is an amazing teacher and permaculture friend.

I have a very busy day but absolutely couldn't help myself. I just had to go harvest some cassava/yuka. I hope you all are getting the big picture here. Good soil = good food. No synthetics, no chemicals, 100% regenerative farming. An additional perk to this plant is that I received it from a permaculture friend as a plant swap. Thank you Sofya T Brown you are an inspiration to us 😘.

What a surprise in the food forest! When I pulled up a small tumeric plant that had been damaged by the frost, it gifted me some beautiful sweet potatoes with it. All in the same hole. Building healthy soil is everything. We are truly blessed with this opportunity.

EDIT: I should have also mentioned that this was hidden by an extremely large cranberry hibiscus plant that was also hit hard by the frost, leaving this harvest visible. Finding the positives!!

Harvesting some lemongrass this morning. It smells delightful. It is a nice addition to soups, dishes, and tea. It is such a prolific, happy, beautiful plant.

This is going to be a great demonstration, lets not miss this one guysπŸ™‚. We can possibly carpool.

Just look how well these plants are flourishing in our regenerative no till garden. It has only had 4 weeks of growth. No chemicals, or synthetics. We have fed the plants some of our compost teas, (yes I may have burned them slightly with one being to strong, oops).

The wasps are out and doing an amazing job. They are muching down these caterpillars in our pumpkin patch that has come to its end of season demise. Leave the insects alone and stop fighting nature. Build healthy soil and life.

Dorking out over a win! We applied a thick mound of arborist chip drop to this area last year and let our chickens dig around and p**p in it. Completely unintentionally, we brought in this chicken tractor for a few weeks. The 5 grain chicken scratch that was on the mulch sprouted and is absolutely beautiful. We had failed at growing anything in this area. But when regenerative practices were put into place it created the life and organic material to sustain it. 😍😍😍
