Yesterday we switched things up, I wanted to work in the resting space to provide a different space we haven’t officially “trained” in. Usually it’s in the house, yard, parks, field trips. But I wanted to play with them while also asking the other dogs to remain non- reactive and non overexcited by the other dogs bouncing about. Though the lighting is not ideal, it was a great exercise for all! Even my own newest puppy (who got sassy in this exercise but after rewarding quiet behavior consistently each dog after she remained quiet), and my newest rescue who has been learning to be less crate reactive). Make sure to switch things up! You can always work on something new, and sometimes , you can even work with ten dogs at once if you think outside the box! Even allowing dogs to watch you and another dog engage , allows them to learn!
