With the holidays literally around the corner, I want to remind folks to shop locally this year <3 When you shop local, you put money into a hard working individuals pocket for things like more supplies, rent and or mortgage, electricity bills, water bills, trash bills and even medical bills vs if you buy from another big box store..your money goes towards the upper halves boats, extra homes, extended vacations, things like that.

If anyone is ready to get rid of their uncut pumpkins, we will glady take them off your hands! We help folks feed a lot of livestock type animals, and the doggies love them too!
🎃 Uncut pumpkins only!!!! - the carved up ones may mold/attract unwanted critters.
Also, we cannot accept any that have been soaked in chemicals to preserve said pumpkins.

Todays the day! The Jaded Paws Rescue in conjunction with Piggies by the Sea, are collecting supplies for the smaller animal welfare groups of Western, North Carolina, that were hit earlier this week by Hurricane Helene. This will be an ongoing endeavor, as inital donations from all over begin to taper off in the weeks to come. We will be housing donations at our pet food pantry program, JPR Pet Food Pantry in Jacksonville, NC.
Our pet food pantry team has been taking care of the Onslow county, and surrounding counties for the past 6 years, and almost 15 years as an animal rescue agency. We know times are tough all around, but we want to encourage those that follow us, as well as those that we've helped over the years, to please consider stopping by today, and dropping off some pet food/supplies! Every bag, and every can, means one more belly that won't go hungry another night.
We will also be collecting supplies for the Veteran services of the Carolinas on this particular run, as their Asheville groups were hit pretty hard, leaving many once homeless veterans...now homeless again..they are in desperate need of non-perishable foods, and other essentials.
Help us absolute FILL our trucks, as we prepare to head out on the road on October 9th/10th, to transport the supplies to those in need.

Hurricane Helene update:
Would anyone like to help me make or donate supplies towards, about 50 to 100 care packages for the folks at the Veteran services of the Carolinas? I want to make essential packs with like deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes, ziplock bags, baby wipes, socks, female hygiene products, a roll of tp, as well as a few other essentials and maybe 3 days worth of shelf stable meals, for each. Not sure if I wana add pet food to these or not. I'll talk to my point of contact again, tomorrow, so if it is needed we will add it.
This will be our first stop as we head out to Western, NC, to provide aid/supplies to those in need.

💔EMERGENCY💔
The JPR Pet Food Pantry is completely out of pet food...which means we are TEMPORARILY closed for food hand outs, until further notice.
Normally I'd jump in and pay out of pocket with my VA check, but I'm already paying out of pocket for the rescues vet bills, so that the rescue stays afloat...so, I just don't have anything extra to help. I've been posting for weeks that we are struggling to keep the shelves filled...and now the worst case scenario has happened and we have to turn families away...because we have nothing left to give, and the funds to cover the costs just aren't coming in. I'm working to sign us up for a bunch of upcoming events to try and make some sales to help, but even with that...there's only 2 of us right now even able to attend events...
If anyone would like to donate funds or food, we have multiple ways for folks to get involved! Our front lobby will be open Sundays through Wednesday's 10 to 3 if anyone would like to drop donations off during those times. We also have a donation drop box located in the front lobby of Animal House boarding and grooming, located on belforke rd. In Jacksonville, NC.
