Since we had to cancel our yardsale today, due to the weather - we will still be having our bake sale at the pantry, tomorrow!
We have home made cookies: white chocolate chip macadamia, regular chocolate chip, Buckeye balls, a variety of puppy chow mixes, upside down pineapple cake, and mini cupcakes!
We will be in the office tomorrow, RAIN OR SHINE, from 10 am to 3 pm!
We are currently watching the weather in regards to this weekends yard sale/bake sale event. I will be making a decision at 6 am, on if we need to cancel or not. If we do cancel, we will stil be proceeding with the bake sale come Sunday, from 10 to 3.

JPR Pet Food Pantry
I sincerely need to win the lottery at those point. This not having the funds raised to cover the rent for our pet food pantry program, this month...is beyond stressing me out. I've spent the past few days networking like crazy, and doing whatever I can to raise funds. Folks are donating, but it's trickling in. I know times are tough for everyone right now, but if I can't make the rent this month....things are going to get so much worse for a lot of the folks we help.
We still need roughly $500+ to make our rent of $860. So, to anyone that sees this, please consider forgoing that cup of coffee tomorrow and consider donating the funds to our organization. If every one of my friends donated what they could, we'd have the rent covered for months!
**We did get approved for two seperate grants for the pantry, but the funds haven't come in yet. Once they do, we will have the pantries rent covered for several months.**

We are currently still waiting for the local grant that we got approved for (we can't wait, and are beyond thankful for the opportunity to show our county just what we can do with the funds they give us.) However, as of right now, we do not have the required funds to cover this month's rent for the JPR Pet Food Pantry. Every month it costs us $860 for the rent alone, and then there's the utilities on top of it. I know times are tough for everyone, but if every single person on my friends lists and or those that follow us donates just $5, we could have it raised in need time! Since our storage unit place got bought out, our monthly rent has been upped twice in under 1 year, we are going to need to have a massive yard sale and whats left will need to go to a more affordable storage place. With that being said, we are going to be having a massive yard sale at the pantry soon, and I'm going to need some help transporting stuff to and from, if anyone is interested.

The Jpr pet food pantry is in desperate need of dry and wet cat food, and dry dog food. I had to turn some folks away today that needed cat food, because we simply didn't have any to give. Normally I'd purchase food with my own personal funds, but things are tight right now, and I just don't have it, nor does the rescue.

If anyone is out and about this week, the Jpr pet food pantry desperately needs dry cat food. 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛ We are completely out of dry, but thankfully we have a few cases of wet food still, which we've been giving to those in need.
Today was my very first class, and it couldn't of been better! Everyone had a blast, and we even got everyone up acting silly ♡ to help the kids feel more secure. Overall we were able to get a ton of new seeds started, for future sales - which ultimately will be helping support of the JPR Pet Food Pantry ♡♡♡ Each kid got to take home a strawberry plant, with recommendations on how to care for them.

Can someone make me a flyer for the pantry? We officially have our first community pantry class scheduled for June 15th (Saturday!) We will have a master gardener come out and teach folks how to grow their own food for themselves as well as their pets. This is a free to the community class, but donations will be appreciated. I want to provide a starter plant, dirt and a starter cup for everyone, so if anyone would like to donate materials, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have the items in my Amazon wishlist or if youd like to help and wana purchase local starter plants for us to use, we can absolutely pick them up somewhere. ♡ This will hopefully be the first of many classes, to bring the community together.
For this class, we want to make sure everyone has at least 1 plant to work with. So, we've chose strawberries and tomatoes, which you can find on our wishlist.
