We are an animal rescue located in North Carolina! We specialize in pulling dogs and cats that are set to be euthanized at the local animal shelters.

We are a nonprofit animal rescue based in Jacksonville, NC. We currently do dog and cat adoptions. Our dogs and cats come from shelters in the area that are at risk for euthanasia. For dogs or cats available, please check out our website at www.adoptionfirstanimalrescue.com

We are starting to work on our next fundraiser! Holiday Raffle Baskets! We need your help!

The main thing is we need more wicker baskets! You can drop them off at the rescue center at 114 Enterprise Rd.

In addition, we are wondering if any of you have items at home that have never been used that we could use in the raffle baskets. We are looking for very specific things this time around. Items we are looking for:

Camping Tent, Sleeping Bag, Outdoor Camping Chairs, Outdoor sporting event chairs, Outdoor Cooking Equipment, Hammocks, Outdoor Games, Fishing Gear, Hiking Gear, Golf Items, Kid Friendly outdoor games, Kid Crafts, Board Games, Art Supplies, Coffee Mugs (Set of 2), Wine Glasses (Set of 2), Sports Memorabilia, Music Equipment (keyboard, vinyl record player, etc), Quilting Items, and Sewing Items.

REMINDER all items must be unused items. We are thinking if you are anything like us you may have these things hanging out in your garage that you purchased or were gifted and never ended up using!

On Sunday, Jacksonville High School varsity boys soccer team had an opportunity to spend some time at Adoption First Animal Rescue and provide them some much-needed help with clearing out and organizing a Conex box, maintenance shed and a storage trailer. In addition to learning all about the animal rescue and how it works, and the types of animal that are helped. The boys got to walk/play and socialize with dogs and cats that are waiting for their forever homes. They even found time for some friendly competition when it came to building cardboard cat carriers. Thank you so much for all your help we really appreciate it!!!
