Adoption First Animal Rescue We are an animal rescue located in North Carolina! We specialize in pulling dogs and cats that are set to be euthanized at the local animal shelters.

We also run a pet pantry for those in need in our community. We are a nonprofit animal rescue based in Jacksonville, NC. We currently do dog and cat adoptions. Meet Harper!

A tiny tabby tornado with a big personality and an even bigger toy collection. Whether it's a jingly ball, a feather wand, or that one mysterious sock, Harper is always ready to pounce, chase, and conquer. She’s full of kitten energy, loves to explore every corner of the room, and never says no to playtime. When she finally tires out, she’ll curl up in the cutest little loaf, purring like a mini motor. 💗 🌼 Meet Pod 🌼 💗

Pod is the sweetest little hippo you'll meet. She is a petite mix with a semi curly blue coat. She loves everyone, cats and dogs, big and small, included. Her favorite activity is napping, whether that is outside bathing in the sun or curled up on the couch next to you. All she wants is pets and cuddles and to be loved. She'll roll onto her back to get belly rubs. While she is a couch potato through and through, she still enjoys playing tug of war and wrestles with other dogs. Her favorite toys are plushies as she seems to find comfort in them. She is potty trained and has done great on a schedule. She is getting used to walking on a leash and does great with taking cues to sit or stop. She is currently working on crate training as she has some separation anxiety and is fearful of being left alone for extended periods of time. She would love a family to call her "home."

Meet Wendy – A Sweet Soul

A petite 2-year-old tabby with a soft heart and a quiet spirit. She may be on the smaller side, but her love is big and genuine. Wendy thrives in calm, cozy environments and enjoys finding a peaceful spot to curl up and nap the day away.

New surroundings can be a bit overwhelming for her, so she may take a little time to settle in—but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines. One of her favorite things is gentle head pets, which she’ll gladly lean into with appreciation. Morgan is a sweet girl who loves people who give her attention! She knows how to sit for treats and loves water...she may even try to sneak a shower right after you! She is good with other dogs, needs a slow introduction with cats, and is not a fan of pet birds. She will need a home that will give her patience as she can be stubborn at times. . She is treat motivated and getting better at listening to correction. Her fosters have been able to work with her on setting and upholding boundaries.

Morgan enjoys going on morning runs or long walks with her people, she understands how to walk well on a leash and stays mostly by your side. She would like a home where she wouldn't have to be kenneled, only when necessary. She does well on car rides, especially if she knows she's going to get a pup-cup! Morgan hopes that her forever home has a big pile of toys she can lay in and play with- that would be a dream come true!
