It is with the heaviest heart that I announce the passing of the man who was the original inspiration for Clark’s Critters, my father. My Dad taught us to love and respect these animals that so many others fear. When I was a child, he brought some of our reptile pets to my Elementary School (Lone Star Elementary in Jacksonville). I have always loved being able to continue that legacy, and inspire kids to love these animals. There was no animal he didn’t love, and I watched him rescue everything from giant snakes to tiny baby bats.

These photos will give you an idea of how Clark’s Critters came to be. It’s easy to see why my brother and I are so passionate about these animals, because from a very young age, we were taught to understand them rather than fear them.

I am so grateful that Dad got to see the creation and growth of our company, and we will continue for years to come knowing that he is proudly watching over us.

Until we meet again to walk the trails of Paradise, we will continue to carry forward the unending love you had for all creatures. 🩵
