Posting for Misty Dawn. Blue is up for adoption. Blue HAS to be the only dog in the house. He does not like to share his space. He is loving with people, an inside dog and is just wanting some lovins. If you have a home that needs a little extra, please contact Misty. Currently there are they ther small dogs where he is and it is not going to end well if we can’t find him a home soon!!

Hooper is ready to go to his next home 🤎 he is 5 months old and has such a wonderful soul. He is kind and gentle and loves to rest his head in your neck if you hold him. Hooper needs someone who is going to monitor his food and possibly split it up throughout the day, rather than only 2 times per day until he can learn his own portion control.

Update: Hooper got his forever home today. He will call Martins Ferry home.

Look who is home!! Hooper is doing well today. No more upset tummy and all up to date on vaccines Hooper is now available for adoption. He will need to still be watched for over eating and will need several small meals a day for a precaution. Hooper is very smart and listens very well. He has had no accidents in the house

01/01/25 Update: Hooper held everything down last night. He also had a normal BM this morning, except there was a foreign matter in it, so apparently he had eaten a toy of some kind. X-rays show everything is passing, so we may avoid surgery. They are going to start him on food and see if he continues to return to normal. He is a lot more alert this morning.

So an update on Hooper. Hooper decided to overeat dog food today and started vomiting. We now have him at Goodworks Veterinarian for precautionary measures. Our first thought was the typical ‘I just ate a squeaker toy’. He will be spending the night with IV Fluids for a guard against dehydration. He was negative for parvo, parasites and worms. His X-ray shows no obvious toy activity obstruction. His condition could simply be from the stress of a sudden change in environments. We will know more tomorrow. Until then, he will be an adoption hold but we will take applications on him. Anyone wanting to donate to his care can call Goodworks in St Clairsville. 740-449-2469.

Meet Scout. Scout is a 7-8 year old malamute who just arrived. He has a super friendly, good with other dogs, cats and people. Unfortunately Scout has been an outside dog all his life and will need some extra time to become an inside dog. Scout is currently on hold pending a vet visit but will then be available for adoption. He will also be going to the groomers for a much needed blowout!!!

I declare Scout to be the friendliest Reacue yet!!

There are sooooo many dogs being found as a stray. Please do not have your dogs off leash especially new dogs. I have heard over & over “I alway take my dog out to potty off leash and they always come back”….until they don’t🥺 this is happening so much right now. So new dog owners especially but truly every dog owner. I have known recently of 3 that got hit by a car after being let out to potty off leash, like usual but that particular day the dog ran after something. 1 died and 2 had broke legs😢
Keep them safe❤️🐾💚🐾

Remember Willie? W***y has a tumor on his leg. When we went to remove the tumor they decided not to do it because he also has a tumor in his lungs. Cindy is that special person who is fostering W***y to make his last chapter a good one. He has gained quite a few pounds hit that is a good thing!!! Thank you Cindy. Let’s hope his last chapter gets a lot more paragraphs and goes on for a long time.
