Revvy is home safe and warm !!!
8 days ago Mike took his three dogs for a walk on Timberdoodle trail in Marshburg Pa. Revvy has been walking on this Trail since he was a puppy, but for whatever reason he decided to run away this day, most likely chasing after a deer. Billiejo Ruttan Revvy's mom stayed at the trailhead until midnight that night hoping that he would return, but he did not. The next day he was sighted on a power line not far from there under a pine tree where he got scared when the people called out to him and he ran off. Not too long after that he was seen in front of the trailhead sitting on the road. A lady stopped and chased him off the road so he didn't get hit and that was the last we'd seen of him for 8 days. Signs went up immediately . Cameras and food plots went up where the sightings were. Mike and Billiejo set up crates with all of his blankets and scented items in them, but he never returned or showed up on camera . Thermal drones went up twice, a tracking dog went out for several hours as well the next day and nothing 😔 I will say we were all getting very worried with the snow and the temperatures dropping into the teens. Today my phone rang from one of the signs that I posted and said are you still looking for a dog and I said YES !!!!! The woman by the name of Lynn who lives right on Route 59 said I think I have him in my garage, he was in here eating garbage and I shut the door. I couldn't hang up the phone fast enough to call Billiejo to get over there to confirm that it was Revvy. Sitting on pins and needles, I finally got the call and she screamed into the phone IT'S HIM and we both screamed and I jumped in the car and drove over there to meet this beautiful boy !!! I would just like to commend Billiejo, Mike and Sierra ,Billiejo's daughter for their love and dedication to their dogs, these people were out from daylight to dark every day trying to get a sighting and checking the food plots and knocking on doors and doing everything they could to find their baby. Like I told them, if I was a dog I would definitely want them as parents !!! We would also like to thank Maximus McCullough and his son for bringing out their tracking dog Flash and volunteering their time to try to help find Revvy. Also thank you to Brandon Anderson from Anderson Ariel inspections who just happened to be in town from Knoxville Tennessee for hunting season and had his thermal drone with him, what are the odds of that? A huge thank you to Mike and Lynn, the homeowners who had the good sense to shut that door quickly to trap Revvy in the garage. The biggest thank you goes to God and everyone who said prayers for Revvy. I don't know how much more of these temperatures he could have survived. He seems in pretty good shape he has lost a lot of weight in just 8 days just trying to stay warm and he may have a little frostbite on his ears but all in all he's very happy to be home with Mom Dad and his two siblings welcome home handsome, we can all sleep well tonight !! 🥹❤️🐾

UPDATE on Revvy : Yesterday another thermal drone was flown and the owners had a tracking dog out as well but unfortunately we did not see him anywhere around the area. The last sighting of him was Wed morning right on the road in front of Timberdoodle trail on Rt 59 Marshburg Pa. If you picked him up please come forward or if anyone saw him along 59 that day please respond. Thank you.

So as most of you know all of the work that we do trapping lost dogs and cats for people is done at no charge by us . We have been doing this for 7 years now and other than the donations that we get all of the money comes right out of our pockets . So several Trappers from the New York and Pennsylvania area have teamed up to place an order for new traps because our traps take a beating out in the field ,they get bent up and then they do not work so well and when you're talking about saving an animal everything has to be just so. So please consider donating so that we can update and add different sizes of traps to our inventory. Thank you so much !! Please share post ty. ❤️🐾

🚨🚨Update:🚨🚨 Thermal drone was flown today in Marshburg Pa for Revvy but no luck. Someone contacted the owners and said they saw an deer carcass about a mile from the Timberdoodle trail with dog prints around it. Owners are relocating our camera and setting up a food station near the carcass location. Please say a prayer for Revvy, it's so cold tonight 🙏

Update :the owner found a gentleman that happened to be in town from Tennessee hunting and he had a thermal drone so it's up in the air right now thank you everyone .

Does anyone have or know of anybody who has a drone that they can fly in the marshburg Pennsylvania area for a lost dog??

🚨🚨 We need sightings 🚨🚨
R***r was supposed to be being taken care of by a friend of the owner in Frewsburg , New York ,she claims that R***r ran off five days ago and no one actively went out to look for the dog and there has been no sightings of him. This happened on Scott Road in Frewsburg, if anybody has seen R***r anywhere around the burg or Scott Road please message us or hit the call button on this post. Please anyone in the Marshburg Pa area , please keep your eyes open for Revvy. He went missing on the Timberdoodle trail 3 days ago. There were a couple of sightings near the trail 2 days ago. If you see him, please do not call out to him or chase him, just get low to the ground and talk softly to him and see if he will come to you. If not just retreat and report the sighting to Billiejo Ruttan @ 814-366-4188 or message us directly. Thank you !!

UPDATE : we have learned today that this dog does have an owner, his owner states that his mother lets him out to go to the bathroom and he wanders off from time to time but they now have an electronic collar on him where she can recall him .

This dog has been seen since spring wandering around Pittsfield Pa. I believe he's a male and was seen this morning on Davey hill rd near Rt 27. Does anyone recognize him and know where he lives. This is a photo from spring and spotters says he is much thinner now . He's been seen hanging around Scotties bar in Pittsfield also.

It is with a heavy heart to report that little 18 year old Ladybird has been found deceased. Her and her owner were visiting some friends and she wandered around the front of the house dragging her leash and vanished. Her owner looked for her but was unsuccessful. Great Dames Trap & Recover along with Canine Crusaders - Trap, Recover, Reunite reached out knowing that she was hooked up on something. We chipped in together to hire Zac from Vantage point thermal drone today. Within minutes of getting the drone in the air he yelled " I found her " but he believed she had already passed and he was right. We walked up the hill where she layed and recovered her body. She had gotten wrapped around very small burdock stalks but was too weak to pull free from them. We were only merely hours from saving her as we believe she passed just early this morning. Little Ladybird's story deserves to be told because hopefully her story may save the life of other senior dogs. Owners of senior dogs , please do not leave them unattended even for just a minute, these dogs are hard of hearing, usually going blind and some have dementia and they can disappear just like that. Most of these poor pups die a very tragic death because they are so hard to find. So again I ask please keep an eye on your senior babies and if they do go missing please remember that time is of the essence..Little Ladybird, on behalf of Great Dames and Canine Crusaders we are heartbroken and so sorry that we didn't find you in time. Rest in peace baby girl, we love you 💔😢

A huge shout out to The Canine Crusaders , the new trap and rescue groups servicing the Erie and Crawford County area. We first met Staci Lynd and Cheryl Sealy a year or so ago when they reached out to the Dames to borrow a trap for a dog they were trying to capture. Since then we have become good friends and have tried to teach them everything we have learned in our 7 years of trap and rescue ,but let me just say, in this business you are always learning and you can never know too much !!! Every case is different and every dog is different so we are always learning. They have had 7 more people join there rescue, forming the Canine Crusaders - Trap, Recover, Reunite . They have taken everything they have learned and become a very successful rescue group and the Erie area is very lucky to have their service available. We are so very proud of this group and we are looking forward to hearing and reading about all of their future rescues. Our passion for saving animals has brought us all together and I am very proud to call these people our friends. I'm sure that we will all work together again in the future on some of the more complicated cases and definitely looking forward to it !!!!

Meet Roo, she is a dog that came from a rough upbringing, she landed at our local SPCA with several other dogs . Michele Confer Bova worked with these dogs rehabilitating them until it was time for them to be adopted . Kari Ewing and her husband Jeff adopted Roo and has owned her for 4 years but because of her past she is still very scary and very skittish. They had gone out of town for just one night and the pup was home with a dog sitter when she decided to go out through her dog door into her fenced in yard and dig out underneath the fence and escaped! Brenda Hunter, a friend of mine ask me to reach out to them which I did . I met with the owner and we went out and posted a bunch of signs in addition to all the Flyers that they had hung up as well around the neighborhood. The first day or so there wasn't many sightings then finally she was spotted by the hospital one evening and of course by the time they got there she was gone. Again yesterday she was spotted in town and again by the time we all got there she had vanished. Later that evening there was another sighting of course after dark, Frankie Notoro Johnson and I went down and met Kari and Jeff and drove around for an hour so but trying to find a black dog after dark is almost impossible ,the good thing is ,is that she was heading in a homewardly direction and she has a dog door on the house and her owners left the gates open to the fenced in yard . Kari and Jeff had gone to bed and at 1:53 a.m. she felt a cold nose on her arm and there was Roo saying Mommy I'm home 🥹 Kari thought she was dreaming !!! Roo was all over town. I tracked her adventure from the sightings and she definitely went a good 7 to 10 miles in 4 days !!! She was beat but she is one smart girl and as long as people left her alone and didn't call out to her or chase her she was able to find her way back to her Mom and Dad, as always thank God and thank you to the people who called in the sightings. Rest up baby girl you're getting too old for these adventures and I'm pretty sure Mama's got you on lockdown for some time to come LOL

Update Roo is home and safe !!! 🙂 sea story in separate post .UPDATE : Roo was seen by several people today in downtown Warren. By the time we got there she had vanished, we posted signs in the area. Please if you see her just call with sightings and please note the direction she is heading . Thank you !!!
🚨🐾🚨 Roo has been missing since Saturday from the Buchanan st area Warren Pa. Possible sighting near Warren general hospital last night. Roo is a very skiddish dog which stems from her past. She will not come to anyone and most likely will have to be trapped. Please if you see her ,do not call out to her or chase her, just report sightings to Kari Ewing the owner @814-406-5218 or push the call button on this post . PLEASE SHARE POST Ty !
