For those of you who were hoping for girls, there are 4 more cockatiels growing! All will be cinnamon pied or cinnamon pied pearl. Not sure on s*x yet, but I will be sending away DNA in a week or two. I would do sooner but I feel guilty getting blood samples from them when they are so small! They will be weaned around late April.

DNA s*x tests will be mailed out tomorrow and they will be fully weaned in a week or so. This is my first clutch that is banded with the National Cockatiel Society. I have my hunches on who is male and who is female. Their bands and names are as follows: NCS 08R 23 01 Dumpling, NCS 08R 23 02 Sweet Pea, NCS 08R 23 03 Mochi, NCS 08R 23 04 Kimchi. Sweet Pea and Kimchi are cinnamon pied pearl. Mochi and Dumpling are cinnamon pied split pearl. Once I have the DNA results, I'll begin contacting adopters. If you would like to reserve a bird sooner, I charge a $50 fee that goes toward the overall adoption fee.

Exciting news! I have two confirmed pairs now, my original pair and a new cinnamon pied pearl pair. I got 4 birds from someone downsizing their aviary, due to life circumstances. I also have two potential pairs, depending on s*x dna results. By the end of the year, I will have beautiful heavy pied pearl cinnamon babies of both s*xes available to be adopted. I'm waiting on that second confirmed pair to lay. The other two potential pairs will produce exclusively that color, cinnamon pied pearl of both s*xes (see photo for example). I do not have any babies available, but will announce when I have any hatches. I'm still deciding how many pairs I want to keep and may have adults available. For now, I have no birds available. I'm a full time teacher so please keep in mind this is a hobby of mine and not a full time job. I generally only reply when I have babies available. Thank you for understanding.

Eisa is going home today! So we are hanging out and sending videos to their new family, while they drive over to come get her. However, Daisy, Hercules, and Odin are just as sweet and looking for their new homes! I have my phone number listed. Feel free to text or but make sure to leave a detailed message, otherwise I'll think you're spam.

Small clutch of 2 girls! But both cinnamon pearl! Daisy is cinnamon pearl plus pied as well. I'm in the process of contacting people who already applied. Please be patient as I only have these 2 available at the moment.

Expect Babies in Spring and Fall, but not over winter. In winter, my birds rest. I do have one boy left from an adoption that fell through. I had given my phone number to a few people interested in this sweet pied boy Spike, but so far no one has followed through. I haven't been checking messages on here, but I will get back to everyone this week with a phone number to text me at. For an adoption, I will have a quick application for you to fill out to make sure you are a good fit.

Star, Spike, Nova, and Cookie are ready for adoption. Many people have been asking for a home visit to see them. Because of Corona and my job as a school teacher (I am teaching in person and virtually), I am limiting my contact outside of school as much as possible and will be wearing a mask and expect you to as well when you pick up for adoption. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but my students come first. I am happy to arrange videos to video calls if you would like to see more about how they are raised.

Beautiful Artemis (born April) is still looking for her home, after someone committed and scheduled to buy and decided not to get her-- without even meeting her! 😥 She is very calm, knows her step up, and will hang out on your shoulder. If you want a social bird, you need to keep up on bonding and training once my babies come to you! I'm always happy to answer questions.
