Drum roll please 🥁... introducing Bosco! 🐕

Bosco is a 3 y/o male Terrier mix who weighs ~26 lbs. He is in great health, UTD on shots, and looking for a loving family - especially one with children.

He is a people's dog and gets along great with other doggos too. He hasn't met a human or canine that he didn't like - a true social butterfly.

Bosco is energetic and playful; he can fetch for hours and still keep going. Don't let that energy fool you though: he's just as much a cuddle bug and couch potato.🥔 🛋 Can we say perfect dog?

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will distribute oral rabies vaccine (ORV) by aircraft across Catoosa County and surrounding northwest Georgia areas from April 7-15. This operation is part of a nationwide effort by USDA to prevent the spread of raccoon rabies in the eastern United States.

Helicopter and fixed wing aircraft will distribute more than a half million baits containing RABORAL V-RG across nearly 3,000 square miles in northwest Georgia. The baits are packets of vaccine coated with fish crumbles. USDA says the baits are marked with a toll-free number for people seeking information to call and are not harmful to pets.

USDA asks that anyone who finds these baits to leave them alone for wildlife to find. However, if bait is found intact and out in the open it can be tossed deeper into woods or brush. People should wear gloves or use a towel if needed to handle ORV bait and wash their hands afterward.

In the past USDA has completed its annual ORV bait drop in Georgia during October. However, last year’s bait drop was postponed due to the extensive damage and recovery efforts in neighboring states due to Hurricane Helene. This year USDA will drop ORV bait in April and resume its usual baiting in October. Helicopter ORV bait drop operations are scheduled for April 12-15 with fixed wing airplane drops from April 7-12.

Rey can be a little cranky sometimes, she has very high standards and great expectations of the humans peasants around her... but she finds our kitty beds are super cozy, and she will deign to accept our offerings of cheek scritches, as long as we don't expect her to venture away from that cozy bed!

Sushi Needy 🐈‍⬛ What a sweet-faced little boy!

Sushi is such a sweetheart. He has spent so much time in kennels and he is ready for his very own home. He is small for his age. He loves to be petted and gives the sweetest kisses. Come and meet this guy and I bet you will go home with him!

A litter of very sick, motherless kittens were turned in as strays to a neighboring shelter. We pulled them to give them at a fighting chance to survive.

Sushi had the name Needy when he came to us. He did indeed need us, he was very sick. He has been at our shelter for many months now and has spent almost his entire life with us. We love him and he loves us, but he doesn't need to keep living in a shelter. Some would say he is just a plain old black cat and there is no denying that. But he is a plain old black cat that loves people and he can't wait for his own family to find him. He promises to love them and make them a great kitty cat. He is very gentle and fairly laid back.

His adoption fee is $150 and that covers his altering, vaccinations, combo testing and a microchip. If you think you might be the one to give this guy a great home, please let us know and we will set up a time for you to come and meet him.
