Our friend Popcorn is turning four years old today! Popcorn is such a character. He has a ton of personality and always keeps us on our toes and laughing, especially when his little lip gets stuck on his little teeth. He brought biscuits to share with all his pals today and will get to pick a toy and receive a coupon to Premium Pets!

We have 38 dogs and puppies available for adoption. To try and get some of these great dogs into homes we have waived the adoption fees on the first 10 dogs to leave the shelter.

Shelter hours Monday-Friday 12-5:30 pm.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT JUST BECAUSE THE DOG IS FREE TO ADOPT, DOESN'T MEAN IT'S FREE FOR LIFE!!! Dogs require a lot of care, food and medical care. The City of Jefferson requires that your dog sees a vet ONCE A YEAR for a rabies vaccination which cost money. PLEASE consider this before coming in for a free dog!

Jefferson City’s Premier Doggie Daycare

What started nearly five years ago as a passion project has grown into practically a one-stop shop for all your dog needs. Mackenzie “Kitty” Walker has been an animal lover since birth, but started watching dogs professionally in 2015. In the fall of 2019, Mackenzie jumped at the opportunity to join forces with Premium Pets and Got Your Six Dog Training (all female-owned businesses!) to provide Jefferson City with nearly everything a dog may need. Kitty’s Critter Care provides a safe and fun environment for dogs to run free during the day, Premium Pets sells any and everything Fido might need, and Got Your Six Dog Training offers a wide range of training services as well as overnight boarding. Other features of our complex include a dog groomer and a pet photographer. It is such an exciting time to be a dog in Jefferson City!
