Today is a very very upsetting day. I went out to check on bunnies and feed and water and yogi was just laying in his cage. He can’t lift his head he can’t use his legs. I think he is paralyzed. I’m so upset that I’m losing my beautiful Buck. I’m going to miss him so much! This is just a part of owning rabbits but the hurt of losing one never gets easier

I always forget to update this page but we have so many babies here! We have a black, tort, torted b/o harlequins (6 to be exact), another harlequin that I’m not positive on color yet, black otters and shockingly got a broken chocolate fuzzy! Oh and 2 solid chocolates! It’s been crazy and oh so fun to watch these babies grow!!

The one lone survivor. This is heartbreaking for me to even post. All of my bew kits and all of beauties kits have been killed by cats. I had one bew and this white ear left yesterday. I have a whole bale of hay in front of beauties cage to keep cats out and other stuff in front of mallows cage that seems to have fixed the cat problem then today I go out and find the last bew in the food bowl under the heat lamp dead. I don’t think a cat got to it but for some reason it passed away. I am devastated that out of the 8 living kits mallow had none of them are alive now. Out of beauties 8 kits there’s only this one left. This is a hard loss and really makes me question why I got back into breeding and if it’s truly worth it. I love having kits but sometimes the losses along the way make it so hard to look past the successful ones you have. I have 2 does due the 5th. One of those does aborted 2 of her babies a few days ago. I suspect she has more that I’m hoping she delivers on the due date. The other doe is already making a nest and pulling fur. I’m thinking I’m going to breed beauty here soon to a pedigreed chocolate Buck and hopefully get some chocolate babies in that litter. We are going to be finishing more cages this weekend and I’m hoping the upcoming kits this weekend will live this time. Crossing my fingers so so hard.

Haven’t posted here for a bit. Mallows babies are all bew looks like we have 4 girls 1 boy! Beauty had 8 babies and all we’re doing well but one suddenly passed away and yesterday 4 kits vanished into thin air and no where to be found. I’m assuming they fell out of the cage and cats for them. It’s a great loss and I’m really really devastated about it. I was so excited for the blue white ears. If was a huge lesson learned though and we have revamped the doors a bit to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening again.

Babies are doing well! The one that may be a harlequin or magpie is a bit smaller than the rest. It’s belly isn’t as full so I’m going to be watching it closer. But they survived the night! I’m so happy

Miss mallow delivered 10 whole kits today but unfortunately 2 were already dead when I found them and 1 was fighting to live but I couldn’t save it. So we have 7 healthy(so far) kits!! So happy! She is being such a good mama
