Layla, the Miracle Mama 💕

Look who had the whole vet’s office smiling today! 🐶✨ Mama Layla came in to have her sutures removed and, true to form, had everyone laughing with her goofy, lovable personality. She’s healing beautifully and is officially free of her recovery suit—unless she decides to get a little too enthusiastic with licking 😉.

What makes today so special is knowing just how far Layla has come. After giving birth, she developed a severe case of mastitis that progressed rapidly—so much so that her chest actually ruptured. On top of that, she retained placenta, which caused a dangerous uterine infection. It all escalated quickly and became life-threatening.

Thanks to Dr. Baig and the skilled team at Norwich Vet, Layla underwent emergency surgery that saved her life. We can’t thank them enough for stepping in when they did—Layla wouldn’t be here without them. 💚

And now, after everything she’s overcome, Layla is officially accepting applications for her forever home! 🏡 She’s silly, sweet, affectionate, and full of love. She adores people, gives the best snuggles, and has a gentle, joyful presence that lights up every room she walks into.

Layla is truly one of the best dogs we’ve ever rescued. Whoever adopts her is going to be incredibly lucky. 💕

How are we ever supposed to capture just how incredible you are through photos alone? This sweet girl is truly something special — smart as a whip, eager to please, and always ready to learn (especially if treats are involved 🍖).

Tilly would crush it in agility and absolutely loves to play. She’s currently taking it easy while she completes her heartworm treatment, but come fall, she’ll be ready to run, hike, and explore right by your side! Her treatment is fully covered through our vet partner in Bozrah, so all she needs now is a cozy home and someone to cheer her on.
