As we bid farewell to 2024 and embrace the promise of a new year, we want to pause and reflect on the incredible milestones we’ve achieved together.
This year, thanks to YOU, we saved over 500 dogs, giving them the second chance they deserved. Many of these dogs came from heartbreaking situations—mothers and pups left behind, strays with nowhere to turn, and victims of neglect or abuse. Now, because of your compassion and dedication, they’re living lives filled with love, security, and family.
To our fosters, adopters, volunteers, donors, and supporters: you are at the heart of our mission. Whether you adopted a rescue dog, welcomed a foster into your home, gave your time at events, reviewed an application, shared our posts, or donated to our cause—your generosity is what makes this rescue possible.
We also want to recognize the heroes behind the scenes—our partnering shelters, the drivers who ensure our pups make it to safety, the veterinary teams who provide life-saving care, radio stations who help bring attention to our organization, and the event hosts who help bring our community together. Meet Rafiki: A Journey from Fear to Hope 🐾
Rafiki’s story is one of resilience and the transformative power of love. Part of the Lion King crew, Rafiki came to us from a heartbreaking situation—a massive hoarding case that left him with no understanding of the world outside a kennel. From the shelter in the South to a transport crate and then to another kennel here, his young life has been a series of confined spaces and uncertainty. 💔
When Rafiki first arrived, even stepping out of his kennel was terrifying. He had no idea what it meant to explore, to feel the grass under his paws, or to be surrounded by kindness. But thanks to his incredible foster family, he’s starting to learn. Slowly but surely, Rafiki is discovering courage. He’s practicing walking on a leash, spending time in the yard, and soaking up all the encouragement and praise he deserves.
Fosters like Rafiki’s are truly lifesavers. They give scared pups like him the time, space, and patience they need to begin healing. And Rafiki is already doing so much better. His foster family has seen glimpses of the happy, playful pup he’s meant to be, and we know his journey is just beginning.

For Ana and Elsa, this was their reality. Until we stepped in, they had never experienced the warmth of a loving touch or the comfort of a safe home. Their early lives were filled with fear and uncertainty—no kindness, no love, just survival.
We’re so grateful we were able to intervene when we did. These sweet girls are resilient, and with each passing day, we see the light return to their eyes. They are slowly learning that not all humans are to be feared. Their progress has been nothing short of inspiring, and we are confident they will continue to blossom into the loving companions they were always meant to be.
Ana and Elsa are both full of energy, joy, and love—they just need the right family to help them heal and show them the beauty of unconditional love. We know that with a patient, understanding family, they will quickly bounce back from their early life traumas and be the best companions for some very lucky homes.

Malcolm is completely zonked after yesterday’s event! 💤 This sweet, laid-back boy had the best time meeting so many wonderful people and soaking up all the love. With his calm and loving vibe, it’s no surprise everyone kept calling him one of the chillest puppies ever. 🐶💖

Tinsel’s Journey Continues – She Needs Your Help! 😢
Great news! Tinsel has made it through surgery and is doing well. This brave 4-month-old girl is on her way to recovery, but we’re still working hard to cover her hospital bills. Her life-saving surgery was only possible thanks to your generosity, but we still need your help to reach our goal.
The video below shows the struggles Tinsel faced trying to get around before her surgery. It’s heartbreaking to see. This poor girl walked around in pain like this for far too long!
