Clients will be called when cats are finished but Pick up required by 5pm

All cats must be in carriers or you will be turned away. Preferably hard carriers over soft carriers.

Any additional fees due to services the vet requires after doing an exam are the responsibility of the owner and will need to be paid at the time of pick up.

You must not be late for drop off or you will not be allowed to get your cat fixed that day and you will no longer be allowed in our clinics.

This is open to Cambria, Somerset, Blair, indiana, and westmoreland county residents. As long as you can get you cat to the clinic you can sign up.

Kittens must weigh 2lbs. Nursing mom’s can be spayed as long as the kittens are 6 weeks old or older. The feral cat package requires an ear tip please be sure you select correctly if your cat is owned.

It was another successful clinic today where we fixed 61 cats! I didn’t get a single picture because there were already people waiting for me when I arrived at 7:10 and I do not think I sat down at all except to bottle feed my babies throughout the day. I know I say it every month, but I could not do this without my amazing volunteers new and old and the Fix'n Wag'n staff! It feels a little like chaos all day long, but it’s constructive chaos and mostly organized now that we’ve been doing these for the last 9 months.

Still 18 male and 4 female slots left in Fridays clinic. 38/60 slots filled. Myself the vet staff and my volunteers bust our butts for these clinics and I want to see every slot filled and cat fixed possible at each one. There are literally unfixed cats/kittens everywhere I can’t believe there are still 22 spaces open given the messages and post I see daily.

Ok guys here’s the deal…at 5am because neonatal kitten fosters don’t get to sleep 😳this group of kittens are the worst sucklers I have ever had and that’s a lot of kittens! NOTHING I have tried has worked thus far (my mcguyver walls failed I’m not a civil engineer clearly) which means…everyone is separated into their own carriers downstairs for awhile…like 5 singletons 😔 Thankfully I have 4 large carriers and 2 small ones (someone gets the tiny house lol.) I would love to separate them in the tespo pen upstairs in the kitten room however I am feeding them way too often still for my arthritic joints to be going up and down the stairs literally 50 times a day. I cannot put it up in the living room because my big cats will jump inside of it with the babies. I really try not to ask but if I purchased the items we need I will completely empty our foster fund as I need to spend $150 on flea meds next week and at least $100 on antibiotics to restock to have on hand here. Plus purchase lunch/drinks for the spay clinic Friday. We need 2 more heating pads, 2 more cuddle animals and baby wipes SO many baby wipes. I’ve actually gone through nearly 2 whole boxes of wipes, yep 18 packs! We use well over 100 wipes a day with 5 babies 😬💩 I’m attaching the Amazon wishlist below everything on there is a need but those specific things are immediate. Im keeping the 2 carriers without heating pads warm with my microwave disc and hand warmers currently but that’s not a long term solution and the babies have another 2 Wks before they can maintain their temps. I’d appreciate the help if anyone can. Also still have 12 Boscovs sale day tickets for October here…$5 each if anyone wants one!

Im selling these tickets for Boscovs days in October. It’s a full $5 profit back to us. Online or in store so even if you aren’t local to a Boscovs you can take advantage. My goal was to sell 25 of these which will go towards feeding our crew at spay neuter clinics and other supplies we use there. Forester was just minding his own business in The Galleria parking lot today when he was snatched from under a Subaru, put in a carrier and is now waking up neutered.

He will be recovering and quarantining with us until he can join the other kitties in the foster room 🐈

Well that was a never ending day, but 67 kitties were fixed 10 more got updated vaccines (we are looking at adding slots monthly for just vaccine appts if there is enough interest) 1 lucky little 12 wk old parking lot stray won the lottery with a room full of rescuers inside to change his future in one swift you’re mine scoop up! Welcome to the crew little forester who will be available through flood city kitties. We fixed so many youngsters today before they will ever get the chance to procreate! Thank you to my previous adopters the rigbys for sponsoring lunch for us, it was exactly what we all needed to fuel our marathon day. I didn’t get home til after 7 but 67 less cats reproducing is worth a 14 hr day…if the Fix'n Wag'n staff can do it daily I can tough it out too! They are amazing at adapting and rolling with the punches while mostly not complaining (ahem love u steven 😜) We had extra volunteers today and that meant I didn’t have to do any surgery packs which is not only a job I hate I’m also terrible at it so yay for my always awesome volunteer crew! We’ll see you july 26th for our next clinic jtown!

Thank you, everyone for your kind words on the passing of baby gnocchi. This year has been especially rough for all rescuers the amount of death an excessive suffering we are seeing is beyond what we have ever seen in the past. Please keep all the love light and prayers headed towards anyone in rescue because I’m telling you with 100% certainty, they are not doing well mentally at this point. We need to do better for animals. Each rescuer is familiar with how I feel today which breaks my heart even more, but we will continue to try and make a difference to those that we can save.

I’m absolutely devastated to announce I went down to feed gnocchi at his 9 o’clock feed, and he was lifeless in the carrier. At some point in the last three hours between six and 9 o’clock, he passed away. I am in shock because he was literally fine earlier. he had no outward signs of illness. He was not lethargic, No diarrhea still eating etc I even posted his video this evening. He was by all accounts that I could tell fine. We don’t always know the background of where things come from. He could have genetic issues, internal things that are not right. Maybe that’s why he was by himself with no mom and no siblings she could very well have left him because she knew. He was here and loved for the last five days. He had gained weight all the way up to 157 g from 122. I just don’t even know how to process this right now. In the last two months, I have held six kittens while they died and I am tired of doing that. All of them born just to die. I need to take a week or two break right now for my mental health because I just don’t have another kitten burial in me for the month of June. I’m sorry I couldn’t give u the life I promised you baby nokes. I got into rescue to save these little lives and this year I’m losing that battle. 😢💔
