Got called today for a snake in a garage.

And I found this guy ( Plain Bellied Water Snake) chilling under their washing machine.

Little guy has found a new and much more appropriate home now. Thanks for the call! And thank you to the Nature center of Jonesboro for referring me!

Here’s a plain bellied water snake that gets mistaking as a Cottonmouth all the time. This little guy is completely harmless. It will bite if stepped on or picked and put out an awful smell musk to get you to put it down.

Please if you don’t know what type of snake you have. Don’t pick it up or try to get close to it.

They can play vital roles in the medical field for us. If you do need one removed. Please call me before it gets killed. I would love to be able to save them.

I’ve been noticing a huge uptick in cottonmouths this year. If you’re outside just stay aware and if you can’t decide what type of snake it is. Leave it alone and it’ll leave you alone.

Here’s a plain bellied water snake that gets mistaking as a Cottonmouth all the time. This little guy is completely harmless. It will bite if stepped on or picked and put out an awful smell musk to get you to put it down. Please if you don’t know what type of snake you have. Don’t pick it up or try to get close to it.

So, I know a ton of people are scared of snakes, but if you have a favorite, which one is it? Personally, I love the Eastern Hognose. In fact, I've caught several Hognose snakes over the years, and each one has been a thrilling experience. There's something about their unique appearance and fascinating behavior that draws me in.
