We are all settled in here in beautiful Douglas, WY- it feels good to be able to make it to a show back home!

We are kicking off today with the rein work for our derby and futurity horses!

Metallic Al x Miss Rattle N Hum x Mr Rattle N Hum

“Rattle” is 8 years old, 14.2, and build like a tank. This mare is a finished cutter, shown both open and non pro, has also shown in SHOT Shows, & regional NRCHA events. Rattle has been used outside extensively as well. Gathering, shipping, sorting, and has drug calves. She is an easy keep, has had minimal maintenance throughout her career (occasional hock injections) and X-rays clean. Rattle is quiet on the ground with no vices and stands great for the farrier
She is suitable for experienced non pros, non pro boxers, and experienced youth. Rattle has a big motor and can get strong at times but in no way unmanageable.
That being said, she has the capability to go win big with the right jockey.

We hope upon sale of this mare that the new owner(s) will allow us to continue with her in our program.

Jon Geil Cow Horses is looking to hire!

Duties include but are not limited too-

Feeding/graining horses

Cleaning stalls & barn

Blanketing/unblanketing

Grooming/Saddling horses

General barn maintenance

Ideal candidate would be a self starter- someone who can look around and see what needs to be done without being babysat. There will be times we are at shows for weeks at a time and we need to know that whoever we leave home is going to take care of the horses/facility like it is their own.

Hours- 6 full days a week while we are home- and 7 days when we are gone at shows.

This is an entry level position- there is room to grow for the right person, who proves that they want it and don’t mind doing the nitty gritty work first.

Housing is available- room for a horse will be included as well as lessons/help with said horse.

A well minded dog that doesnt want to work horses or fight other dogs would be allowed- absolutely no in tact males.

We are all moved in and ready to start with the open futurity herd work today at the SRCHA Pre Futurity & excited to see what our three year olds can do this week!

2025 𝑯𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒄

We had some bobbles that took us out of the running, but also had some very big personal victories too! We couldn’t be more proud of them, we’re always grateful to show both of these awesome horses! Now we regroup, revise, and go at it again.

🚨 owned by Ringwood Stables, had a great showing in the L1 Open Derby, and a 🥈 place finish in the LTD Open Hackamore on Sunday!
🍀Lucky Little Mitch owned by JG Livestock stayed strong winning 🥈 in the LTD Open Hackamore show 1, and 🥇 in the LTD Open Hackamore 2nd show!

We couldn’t be anymore proud of how these horses performed & can’t wait for the next trip to the show pen! Thank you to our owners in trusting us to compete on these great horses!
