Former FOA rescue Muffin (on right) has been Adopted! When Muffin's owner passed away at the end of January, the owner's family contacted FOA to see if we could assist in finding her a new home. They wanted to make sure she went to a good home and would continue to be loved as much as their family member loved her. And now, just as Spring brings a new day, new hope and new life, Adoption is proof that there's beauty in new beginnings... Not only does Muffin have a new fursibling now, but she's also got a new mommy that is going to love her forever! 🐾❤️

Good advice to make sure your pet’s chip is able to be located and has the correct info when you’re at the yearly exam.

This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

Many, many "Thanks" to volunteer, Jake Abrams for transporting both Laker & Maddy to rescue organizations where they will now have a chance in finding their forever homes! ❤️ Laker is one of the mixed breed puppies dumped with 14 other puppies in the county and picked up by a Good Samaritan. Maddy is a GSP whose family could no longer keep up with her due to lifestyle changes. Thank you Jake Abrams, for being a part of their journey and making a difference in the lives of these two beautiful doggies! ❤️🐾😊

Ronnie or Ronald McDonald as we like to call him is a 4yr old Bully who is looking for his forever home! Ronnie is good with dogs, cats, and children. He does need to enjoy his meals away from other animals, but we don’t blame him as we wouldn’t want to share our plates either! Ronnie is 90lb teddy bear. He loves to snuggle and be close to his humans. His favorite things are rolling in the grass, sleeping on his back and exposing the world to his non existent man hood, and hoarding toys in his crate. This boy has so much personality! Ronnie has started obedience training and is working on sit, down, place, loose leash walking, heel, impulse control, and has a release word for his meals! He even does well with horses! He is fully vetted and ready to find a home!
