We welcome a new Jubilee mascot to our family. The sudden loss in Sept. of our first mascot, Misty, has been hard as many of you know from your own losses. We have 9 months to see if she too will be a" beach pup".

I have a dilemma for the 2025 Jubilee. The first weekend would be Oct. 31/Nov 1. Harbourside is encouraging us to do our kick off parade in costume this year with prizes for various categories. If the Jubilee falls on that date, would that make you more likely to attend or skip Friday night? The following weekend is Veterans Day weekend and the hotels are reluctant to give any discount as well as limited availability. Thank you for your feedback!

Although our dinner registration is closed for the Jupiter Golden Jubilee, we would love to have you join us for the raffle benefitting the Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid FL, on Nov. 2nd at Ocean Cay Park. We will begin at 6:00 with the last tickets sold at 6:20 and drawings beginning at 6:30. Tickets can be purchased with Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check.

The raffle includes over 25 items such as a 2-night stay at Holiday Inn and a Tommy Bahama $100 dinner coupon, a wine-tasting party for 12 from PRP Wine International, a bed for your dog donated from Orvis and several wonderful baskets donated with goodies for you and your pups. The 2024 Jubilee is gearing up to be one of the biggest yet! Don't let the fun end after the beach events. Join us across the street for a picnic supper and raffle at Ocean Cay Park at 5:00 PM, catered by Dori's Market. This event will benefit the Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid FL.

As part of the Jupiter Golden Jubilee celebration on November 2nd, we are thankful to have a Tom Mosser original print Three Goldens at the Museum to raffle off again this year. We did so well with this print last year, raising $1455 for the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, that we have decided to raffle the same print this year. Thank you Tom for your generosity!

Tickets cost $10 for ten entries or $25 for thirty entries. The print will be mailed to the winner. All proceeds will go to the GRLS.

The Morris Foundation's Golden Retriever Lifetime Study has been a passion of mine ever since I learned how prevalent cancer was in Goldens when Maddie was diagnosed with neurofibrosarcoma. Three years later, we would lose her to hemangiosarcoma, one of the worst of all the canine cancers. In June 2012, the Morris Foundation launched a pilot study with a small group of golden retrievers that met the enrollment criteria. After working through some procedural loose ends, open enrollment to reach the target goal of 3,000 was launched in August 2012.
