Friendly Reminder:

If you are bringing us a cape for our discount and giveaway contest- make sure you are caping the deer out down past the neck before you go to the CWD testing site. If you cape it down to where the neck is visible, they will be able to collect their sample and it will not ruin the cape.

Sorry we’ve been quiet and slacking with pictures- we’ve been busy taking in several different critters. Antelope, Boars, Bears, Bobcats, Elk, and of course- Whitetails! Some are easier to degrease than others, but man- we’re loving the variety!

We’ve taken in several whitetails this weekend from Missouri Rifle. With that being said, turn around times are still right on track with last year! We’ve implemented a few improvements this year to ensure our turn around time stays low, even with taking in more animals. This is one of our biggest priorities- along with preserving and maintaining the integrity of your trophy. We are grateful for all of you and can’t wait to hear more stories! Veterans Day holds a very special place in our hearts here at Baker Bones- as Collin and Hannah both have family who have served.

Today, we honor you for serving our country and protecting our freedom. We can’t thank our veterans enough for the sacrifices you and your family have made. You all are the backbone of our country and the very reason we possess the freedoms we do- and we are forever grateful. Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

We have been steadily taking in heads since last weekend- we are already over the 50 mark on the year! I think it’s safe to say that the chase has definitely been on! 🦌

Well, the time has come! Creighton is off on his first hunt with his Dad tonight. When Collin asked him if he wanted to go hunting tonight all he could say was, “Okay- Dad. Huntin’.. shoot em’.. BIG BUCKS”! For being a three year old, this boy sure has a passion for being outdoors. This is what it’s all about y’all! 🤗

So it begins- it’s opening day here in Missouri for archery! We are happy to announce that our prices will be staying the same as last season. We understand that the economy is not the greatest right now, so we are offering this deal to get the biggest “bang for your buck”!

If you bring us a cape in good shape, we are still honoring the $15 OFF your mount and you will be given ONE ENTRY into our CAPE CONTEST GIVEAWAY. Nice day to do some water changes on the greasy boar and bears! After several months in the degrease, they are almost ready to be sent to their forever homes. Having patience with these beasts is the best way to ensure they will remain bone white for many years to come 🐻

Our first locked set came in as a nasty, dried out, mess. We’re happy we could spend the time to get these two bucks cleaned up and looking good. What a find! 🦌

Finally got around to getting this nasty, rotten, deadhead of a beast cleaned! We’re really wishing we would’ve taken before pictures. It’s crazy what a lot of patience, time, and effort will do to get these things back to their original beauty 🤗

Remember that monster dead head we posted a few months back? Here’s the outcome, 4 months to the day! He took a lot of time and patience to restore him back to his glory but man, are we proud of this one! Deadheads are far from easy, especially after it had been boiled several times previously, but it sure makes us happy when we see how far they’ve come 🙌🏽
