BTW, in addition to the nosework we've been doing (which is finding Jeff's dirty sock hidden in something inside a maze), we've been doing tracking training. It's outdoors and she's learning to follow a scent on the ground. A few days ago we were at Shaw Island, and her boyfriend Koda was visiting, and he went missing, probably chasing a deer. He'd been gone for almost an hour and his mom was frantic. Stella and I went looking for him, and she found him down a steep 60-foot embankment to the rocky shoreline. I couldn't see him and he wasn't barking back to my calls, but Stella was certain he was down there. Because he wasn't answering and it was almost a sheer drop I was certain he was dead at the bottom and I'd have to get the row boat out to get him. She carefully went down and back up twice, but he wasn't with her. Finally she went down and then I could see just the tips of his ears so I knew he was alive. She tried twice to get him to follow her and finally she found a way that he could do and he came back up. His legs were all wet, so obviously he'd gone all the way down, but he was fine (though a little embarrassed). If she hadn't found him, we likely never would have because he couldn't get back up and we couldn't see that part of the shoreline. My little superstar had used her skills to rescue him and she's a hero now.

So I have a QUESTION? I'm curious with poor positioning on OFA'S I wonder if it is okay to call the Orthopedic Foundation yourself and get information on positioning from certain VETERINARY PRACTICES? Sure would be nice to know about poor positioning prior to spending 1500 to $2,000 a piece
