Keep in mind! 🥰🐶

Quick Winter dog house tips:

❄️ turn the house facing away from the direction the wind is blowing (almost always turned south in winter)
❄️ no blankets, towels, dog beds- they collect moisture and will stay damp making your dog colder (like when you go camping and your tent is damp in the morning)
❄️ hay’s for horses, straw’s for paws- straw is a much better insulator than hay and doesn’t sour and smell awful
❄️ when you stuff the dog house, put more in than you think they need- dogs are denning creatures, they will burrow and bed down in it where they are warm on all sides
❄️ pitbulls and pit mixes (short, thin coated dogs) are not made to withstand freezing temperatures outdoors. They usually have a low body fat percentage, thin coat and bare bellies.
❄️ puppies are not cut out for the cold either- young puppies cannot regular their body temperature the way adult dogs can
❄️ if somebody told you, “dogs are made for weather like this”- they are jerks and they lied. Just because an animal can survive it does not mean they should have to!

TIP: The next 4-6 weeks is mating season for coyotes. Please do not let your dogs out alone. The coyote gets your dog to chase him and then somewhere in the distance the pack waits for your dog. Then the outcome is tragic as they can & will attack/kill your pets (they will easily kill your cats also). Just be aware it can happen to your beloved pet. {Coyote breeding typically peaks in late February and early March, the gestation period averages 58 to 63 days. Male coyotes can become more aggressive during this time of year, the long and short of it all is that coyotes always pose a risk to your dog (and other small pets). That risk increases during mating season.}

Did you know even during the winter your animals can still catch some parasites, fleas, and ticks.

Every month and typically it’s the 1st of every month for us, but we make it a habit to do these things.

*Flea and tick prevention.
* Worming prevention.
* Toe nail trim.
*Basic Grooming Care or Full Groom if my boy is filthy.
*Ear flush.

With opening my new business “Rebecca Mobile Vet Tech Services” I want to start taking in donations whether it’s supplies for me that could help treat the owners pets that can’t afford care for their pet/pets. Or more specifically things that the pet would/could need! I’m always thinking of the animals. I unfortunately see so many suffer because of funds. I would definitely get them the things they need! I want to help as much as I can! ❤️

I will be having a general price sheet made up soon. Service prices will vary depending on your pet, the job itself and location. I am very budget friendly so don't think I'll break your bank! Also I'm willing to start right away for some services, others will have to wait as I get product in, laser machine, vaccines etc.

Hello, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rebecca King, I am 29 years old and I live in Kalkaska, Michigan. I've lived here my whole life, I'm a 2013 graduate from Kalkaska High School. My hobbies include horse back riding, dirt track racing, reading and spending time with my boyfriend, family, friends and my dog Zeus. I've always had a passion for the medical field especially when it came to animals. I've wanted to be a vet since I was in kindergarten. Life happened and I wasn't able to pursue that career. The next best thing was to become a tech. I have worked in a vets office for almost 5 years now. Currently I am at a local vet clinic in Traverse City. I usually work there 2-3 days a week. Me being me, I always have to remain busy and I have a lot of free time to be able to make this happen. I am wanting to offer surrounding areas with Me being a Mobile Vet Tech. I know a lot of times getting to the vets can be hard. Vet clinics can sometimes be scary so lets change that. I would just come to you for your pet services. I have a wide variety of things i will be offering. Reach out if you don't see what you need, good chance I can still do it!! Everything that I offer will be NON SEDATIVE just to clarify. I'm also willing to work with your not so nice animals to.
