********🐾💙 UPDATE On WILLOW! 🐾💙 ******
My sweet girl Willow was playing in the yard with my daughter. A unfamiliar man came down the alley and started to approach my daughter coming towards her. He was shouting and cursing at her. Willow (deaf) didn’t like the way the man was approaching my 12 y daughter so she barked at him. When he kept coming she went to nip him. She didn’t break skin but he called the ACO and police. Since Willow had bite him they made her 10 day quarantine and re vac with Rabies. Now the City of Chanute KS has labeled her a “dangerous dog”. We owe $566 to the Vet for her quarantine and vac. If she remains with us then she will have to be locked up and if she is out she will have to be muzzled 24/7. She will not tolerate or understand this due to her special needs. We have found a wonderful family that will take her who has a farm and she will not be under the “dangerous dog” rules. She will be going to her new family on Monday but we need help paying to get her out!!
