Happy first day of summer! ☀️ And it's a HOT one! 🔥

Did you know, the sidewalk can heat up to over 140F? For your "bare-pawed" canine, this can make their daily walks dangerous. The asphalt can get hot, even when the air temp isn't super high.

Dr. Marty (Premium Freeze-Dried Dog Food) shared these top summertime paw tips:

🐾 Carefully place your hand on the pavement. If it's too toasty to touch for more than 5 seconds, it's likely too hot for your pup to walk on.
🐾Swap the pavement for cooler surfaces, like a grassy dog park, or the shoreline where the tide comes in at the beach.
🐾Enjoy early morning or late evening walks - you might have the neighborhood all to yourself!
🐾Grab some doggie booties for your furry friend to protect their paws.
🐾Pass the midday heat with a fun inside game like tug-of-war!
