Also, be very careful if you have a tennis ball or stuffy with you. My pup did not drink the water, but took in too much water/sand from a ball and had a tummy ache. Luckily I recognized it early and took the ball.

Ocean water can make your dog sick so, when you’re both enjoying a wonderful summer day at the beach, make sure your dog doesn’t drink any. Instead, bring fresh water to keep your dog hydrated on beach days.

I love hearing client success stories! This is a severe case of GSD reactivity from a 90lb 2 year old. He’s been doing this since he was a puppy. It’s taken some time, but the issue is getting resolved. I am this dogs 5th trainer. This particular client insisted on doing the work herself and me not taking Dutch. Goes to show that KC Elite Dog Training can and will create the intervention YOU want and still makes it WORK.

I love client updates! Nekkos mama sent us a pic and update of Nekko KILLING the down stay we worked so hard on his last board and train. Nekko is so conditioned to remain with mom, he struggled to master his stay. With a lot of consistent positive reinforcement it’s looking amazing now. We have to prepare our pups for every situation imaginable, and a solid stay in public surrounded by temptations is a great way to show off how in control our service dogs truly are. Opal, 11 months old, killing some obedience in public today. Opal has been on the back burner as a couple other dogs take my focus. Happy to see she hasn’t lost anything. Putting in the work when you have the time, always pays off when things get busy! It’s all about pushing forward and never letting excuses stop you from training harder.

1 command, 2 full minutes, lots of distractions, full confidence, and concentration on me. We met our goals this week big guy!

I absolutely love getting these updates from clients. Remi is a 5 month old service dog potential working here on recall.
