I'm Max! I had the VERY BEST field trip to the flower nursery. We also went on a hike to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I met some new people and smelled all the flowers.

We have an open spot for Wayside’s Teen Camp! This camp is for students entering 9th and 10th grade in fall 2025. During the week of June 23-27th, your teen will experience the ins and outs of volunteering at Wayside Waifs. They will complete service projects that directly impact the lives of the animals in our care. Teen Camp will also include a tour of the shelter, teambuilding games, socializing animals (when available), and so much more!

Doing a little shopping? Our virtual kitten shower is May 24 and we need your help! We already have litters of kittens and nursing moms with kittens in foster care and need supplies to care for them. Kitten season is almost here and we expect large numbers of cats and kittens this year.

Appreciation Week.

Volunteers enjoyed treats all week and puppy yoga!

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteer corps who not only assist with animal socialization, but also work across the organization from the veterinary clinic to adoptions, play groups to outreach events, they give of their time, talent, and treasure to help thousands of animals each year.

Wayside has a Slumber Pawty program! This program allows approved potential adopters, interested in a specific group of animals, to take home an adoptable animal for a trial period of 7-10 days.
Wayside provides all the supplies you will need.

Harvey, Kulina, and Mocha have their bags packed and are ready for a slumber paw-ty!

Visit us today 10am-5pm to meet them and learn more about the process.

For more than 76 years Wayside has provided safe rescue, life-saving medical care, behavior modification, safe shelter, nutritious food, and love to more than 6,000 abandoned, abused and homeless pets each year. Wayside’s programs and services are funded through 100% donor support, and we do not receive any government funding.
