This past weekend, Bodhi, who happens to be deaf, turned two and had the sweetest birthday celebration! Instead of singing 'Happy Birthday', some of our staff learned how to sign the song just for him. While there might not have been any candles to blow out, we are pretty sure his birthday wish is to find his furever home soon!

Happy birthday, Bodhi! We hope your wish comes true. ❤🐾

Interested in reading to our dogs and cats at Wayside Waifs? Join our self-guided Reading Program. After attending a Volunteer Information Session, sign up for a Reading Program. Orientation to learn about how you and your family can help our Waifs relax and get comfortable with having people outside of their kennels by reading to them.

Bonus: kids can also work on their reading skills to a non-judgmental listener! Orientations are offered monthly.
