I saved this elephant from Hwy 99 by Gas n Go. If a child is missing their favorite stuffed toy, let me know. Otherwise the elephant will have a new home at the shelter. Will not become a dog toy.

If you would like to buy dog food, we give the dogs Diamond. The feed store in Sedan sells this brand. We give out around 35 cups a day. There is 200 cups in a 50 lb. bag.

Dolly will be with us until she gets spayed in about 6 weeks. She is 20 lbs at 9/10 weeks.

Tried to get DD to come run around in the play yard. It has been about two weeks since she has come out. She refuses. Treats aren’t working. Wondering if the chat hurts her paw pads? I may try putting a leash on her and take her out that way?

We have had people ask, "What does the shelter need?" We have plenty of blankets. We are always needing paper towels, treats, canned dog food and Fabuloso (cleaner) The dogs love Milk Bones - regular and peanut butter. Medium and large in size. They love Beggin strips and other bacon looking treats. Actually they love any treat. PLEASE make sure the treats are MADE IN THE U.S. Their favorite chew toy is the Wishbone fron Benebone. No rope toys or toys with stuffing please. Toys with stuffing last maybe 10 minutes. THANK YOU for thinking about the dogs at our shelter. If mailing items, please mail to Cindy Powell- CCAS. 403 East Elm. Sedan, Kansas 67361. That way I can load packages into my car and take to the shelter. If dropping items off, you may leave them on my porch or bring to the shelter during business hours. Monday to Friday 9:00 to Noon. We are closed during Holidays. Thanks

Maggie Moo was returned to the shelter recenty and is now available for adoption! She is UTD on vaccines, spayed, Heart worm negative. Maybe be around 2 1/2 years of age, 48 lbs. She is so hard to get good photos. Will try again soon.

All of the available for adoption dogs are neutered/spayed. UTD on vaccines. Heart worm negative. Given monthly preventative. Our adoption fee is $150.00, that helps pay the Vet bill (which is usually over $150.00)

Donations to this shelter are tax deductible. We are a No Kill Shelter. Jasmine will have lived at the shelter for three years in February. Luna two years last month. Ricky and Lucy two years the end of December. Doss two years in January. Sadie and Charley a year in December. (I think) Sharing their photos and info would be a great help. Getting their info out there, would be a great help. There could be someone back east who falls in love with one of dogs because they happened to see it on Facebook. That has happened. I had no connection with the lady in Florida that adopted Twila several years ago but yet she saw her photo, read her info and fell in love with her. Please share!
