Did your pet have a great experience with our team? Let us know by sharing a testimonial!
Our team loved treating Pickles, a 2.5-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who visited us after fracturing her tooth while chewing on a hard object. She received a root canal to help the tooth maintain function and is now back to her adorable, healthy self!
If your pet’s New Year’s Resolutions are for healthy teeth and gums, make an appointment with our team so we can make sure they’re on the right track.
Jenna, thank you for choosing VDS. We are so glad that you are pleased with Dr. Miles’ care of your pet!
Let’s shine our spotlight on another wonderful VDS patient! This is Lazlo True, a 7-month-old Basset Hound. We treated his malocclusion by extracting teeth that were making contact with each other. We’re pleased to share that Lazlo’s procedure was a success and he has recovered well.
It’s always such a pleasure to be recognized for our services by fellow members of the veterinary industry. Thank you, Catherine, for traveling to VDS so that Vincent could be treated by Dr. Miles and Dr. Simon. We value your commitment to quality dental care for your pet and greatly appreciate your kind words.

Veterinary dentists really do exist – and we’ve got the testimonials to prove it! Elizabeth, thank you for choosing our team for your pet’s dental care. At VDS, superior service is our standard of care.
We specialize in complex and complicated dentistry cases, including tooth restoration using fillings or crowns. If you notice any signs of tooth decay in your pet, call us to schedule an oral exam with one of our board-certified veterinary dentists.
When was the last time you took your cat to the vet? Your feline friend may be overdue for a check-up. August 22 is National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, so we encourage you to schedule an appointment with your primary care veterinarian today.
It’s always a pleasure to give our patients the quality care they deserve. Vickie, we’re thrilled that you were satisfied with our services and your experience with Dr. Miles. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us!
Due to chronic periodontal abscesses, mixed-terrier Sprite has had yearly dental cleanings and tooth extractions. This year, pet parent Helen brought her to VDS for these procedures, and we are so glad she did. At 14 years old, Sprite is a senior dog who has struggled with remaining stabilized under anesthesia in the past. But thanks to Dr. Miles, Dr. Simon, and the rest of our team, she received her annual oral care this year without any complications, recovered quickly, and is thriving post-op. Way to go, Sprite!
Animals make the best of friends (although we might be biased!). Many of the patients that we have the privilege of caring for are the center of their families’ lives, which motivates our team even more to perform procedures with passion and precision. Do you consider your pet to be your best friend?
Dr. Miles is no stranger to being far from home! Originally from Austin, TX, Chanda Miles, DVM, DAVDC, traveled all the way to the Caribbean island of Grenada to study at St. George’s University. After graduating in 2006, she came back to the US to complete her fourth clinical year at Kansas State University and served as a general practitioner in Salt Lake City for the following three years. Prior to co-opening VDS Katy in 2022, Dr. Miles spent many years leading the dentistry and oral surgery service at a large veterinary specialty practice in Houston.

As you prepare to celebrate Independence Day next week, we wanted to give you a heads up that we'll also be celebrating! Our office will be closed on Monday, July 4, but we'll return to regular office hours the following day. 🎆
We're kicking off a new series called "Take a Bite" where we'll focus on some common dental conditions that dogs and cats may face. Today, we're starting with a basic one: periodontal disease, AKA gum disease.
Facts: There are often no symptoms until the disease becomes serious, and it occurs five times more frequently in pets than in people. Read more about diagnosing and treating gum disease, and remember that we're here to help should periodontal disease come back to bite your pet. https://1l.ink/B7FPD5H
Happy St. Patrick's Day! We're so lucky to be serving the families of Katy and beyond. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly to the community. (Cameo by Tucker again, we had to share his Irish-themed bow tie!)
