I started Grooms By Frenchie because I hated the fast paced environment and chaos of salons. I hated the fact that there was never enough time to build a good relationship with my clients. When I started this business it was never about fame, fortune or glory. It especially was never about greed, as I am a simple woman and only desire to pay the bills and have a little extra, nothing more. The only thing I really desired from starting this business was more time to build a relationship with the pets I groom, rather than just getting them done and sending them home. I desired to treat each pet like my own and each owner like family. After all, you are the ones who trust me to care for your four-legged fluffy best friends. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Down to the nitty gritty….My generator is having an issue with stuck valves. I wouldn’t even be contemplating shutting the business down for stuck valves as that is something we can fix (though we have been limping the generator along for some time), however now I am facing issues with the van. My mechanic believes that it is an intake valve gasket and I am currently running through an insane amount of coolant. I’ve been battling issues with this van from the beginning. Any amount of money I’ve made that didn’t go to overhead costs went into fixing it. It was the water heater in November, the generator’s carburetor in December, the piston rings in the generator in January, the belt in the generator in march, the idle air control valve for the van in April. The exhaust pipe for the generator in June. Just on Monday I had a break line blow and the intake gasket go out (when it rains it pours!). It’s been a non stop battle to keep going. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I hate the idea of asking for money, so all I ask is that you consider buying a raffle ticket to help save a small business.
