Today our amazing group of volunteers did hundreds of bales of hay. This is the only one that did it with a smile
On his face. Thanks buddy for showing us all up.
Nothing like a good belly scratch. I swear I just sprayed her for flies.
All dressed up and ready for riders
We love visitors at Freedom Reins
Justa enjoying her Valentines Day treat. Thank you from her secret admirer.
Mom says Roger the vet is coming. Here I am stretching my leg I convinced her I injured so she wouldn’t ride me while the weather was nice. Justa the queen
Best of friends. Indie is rooting her excitement at this weather.
17 degrees and frosty this morning. As you can see Rio has a nice thick fur coat keeping him warm and dry. Shedding season is right around the corner.
Maya loves getting brushed by her “guy” Russell.
The three stooges
No one wanted to stand in their dry/warm run out last night so breakfast in the arena and some stretching of the legs.
Beautiful morning. One can only hope the rain today will wash all the dirt away. Halflingers have super dense coats so brushing is not always an easy thing. Thank god she has a dad that will come over and treat her like the queen she is.
The crew taking off for a ride on the sensory trail. Violet always joins in for the fun.
Snow, Rain etc. today. These ladies go out everyday no matter what. Horses need to move not only for their physical well being but for their mental well being. We cannot expect therapy horses to be amazing if they are anxious from being stalled. They wont melt and they are happier standing in the weather with their herd then standing in a stall apart. Bonus- their humans get to do all the heavy lifting today.
“Let’s play”
Mom
Why won’t this big dog play with me??
While we were doing barn chores this weekend Trevor came and cleared 1/4 mile path for the program. First riders coming out the finish. Nothing but good reviews. So excited to use this in lessons.
How is this even still possible.
