Hi! Welcome to Kimmy’s Rabbitry. I am a closed rabbitry working on Vienna rex and meatmutts Here at Kimmy's Rabbitry I breed towards SOP.
I also focus on personality, hardiness and mothering skills. While I breed towards SOP, I will be focusing on colors that are not accepted currently by ARBA. Magpies specifcally while still offering colors accepted by ARBA.

Darcey was hiding satin in her lines and now I don’t know what I want to do with my herd 🙃 Brienne has three different fur types of chesnut. In the second picture, left to right Normal, Satin, Rex. Satin was the surprise. Rex was expected and so was normal coat. Rezas sound like so much fun but my vm Rex project is on F2. Decisions decisions..

Aemma x viserys surviving two sallanders ❤️ Aemma had three but she accidentally over groomed one and it died. She has been a great mom to these two! Keeping them warm even with how small the litter is and they have had plenty of milk all to themselves 😂 She was rebred to viserys and should be due 5/12. Hoping for a bigger litter 🤞

Well much to my surprise Brienne whose previous litters were only 2 and 3 decided to have 7 this time! Found out both her and camillo got REW from their mother instead of chin. Which I love rew but was really hoping for a new line of chins 😤 3 chesnut, 2 Black, 2 REW.
Oh and remember Ariel? The one that pulled so much fur I was so sure she was pregnant? Well she bamboozled me again and she infact did not produce a litter. Despite her type being the best Iv produced so far, if a doe will not breed they have no purpose here. She will be removed from the program.

Brienne my huge F1 American chinchilla x Rex doe made a nest today which is rare for her since she’s usually a day of prepper. I hope this just means she has more in there than usual 🤞

Rews have a special place in my heart, Iv been missing them in my litters for a while. This girl is so so sweet! I’m hoping she makes weight and has decent enough type to stay ❤️

I gave Ariel whose due in E I G H T DAYS (eternity) a nestbox yesterday because her mother Luisa likes to nest early and I use it as almost a pregnancy test 😂 When I went out to check on the rabbits I was not expecting a nest let alone this much FUR!

These guys are three weeks old! Biggest is 12.7 oz and the runt is 9 oz. These guys are so sweet! I can’t wait to start posing for real at 6 weeks 😊

Hey you see that blue? That’s not Vienna but it’s not brown. I messaged Bolton’s burrow the genetic genius and she informed me it’s chin blue. Which means this guy is a broken marten! How cool! ataB_cchdcD_E_

Viserys viserys viserrrrys ☹️ Despite coming from a 9lb Mom and Dad was at least over 7 lbs, viserys is only 6lbs. Which is not acceptable. It might be because his litter was separated early at 4 ish weeks maybe 5(I generally like to keep them together until 7 weeks) but even then 6lbs is just too small. He also grew a shoulder which is why I will never get excited about rabbit type again until 6 months 😂 I’m gonna include his pictures from when he was grow out and a picture now. He was bred to his sister Aemma who is bigger than him and vm so we will see if viserys is a vc and maybe the line breeding will amplify their moms big girl genes 😕 I will be watching that litter’s weights very closely. Either way Viserys will be culled from the program.

Luisas litter is now 3 days old and their fur is coming in. We have a harlequin which is Vienna! We have a rew which isn’t really beneficial to a Vienna program but I love them! Two broken black otters. The one with alot of white on its nose might be Vienna but not sure. We then have two silver tipped steels and I *think* one chinchilla. One of the silver tipped steels is Vm ❤️

Luisa had 8 babies yesterday! One for sure is Vm so that’s awesome. Only colors I know we have for sure is brokens and Steele. The others are still up in the air until fur comes in. I went out for nightly water refills and found this baby out the nest. I quickly put it in my shirt and to my surprise it came back to life! I couldn’t resist a cute little photo shoot 😏

Look whose due tomorrow 😏 It’s been a very very long 5 and 1/2 months of no litters 😪 but alas look who has jumping beans in there tummy 🥰 Luisa was bred to Pinto who was residing at Bolton's Burrow. These babies will be F2 Vm Rex! Cross your fingers for babies with decent blazes 🤞🤞🤞

Today I tackled the rabbit room and cleaned and put away some cages and put grow outs in their new permanent cages. It’s no secret that Iv been toying with the idea of getting out of rabbits all together or reducing my numbers greatly. I think I got overwhelmed with life and put these guys on the back burner and then got overwhelmed with the thought of how much it’s going to take to get back to being in schedule with cleaning and culling. But today, I realized while I am sore and dirty as hell 🤣 I am truly at peace in the rabbit room. It’s like my brain shuts off and just thinks about what’s going on at the moment (rabbit poop💀) and if you know me, that’s literally unheard of 😅. I’m a pretty anxious gorl. Im happy I decided to stick it out with them and I’m determined to make my happiness(rabbits) one of my top priorities. Anyways! Enough of my sappy crap, here’s a video of Aemma(F1 Vm Rex) in her new digs 😊

Still trying for litters but having no luck. Tonight will be the battle of the lifts and whoever lifts stays and whoever does not goes to camp kenmore.

A buck I’m growing out to see if he’s Vienna carrier for the new vm/bew Rex program. I love his deepness, wish his shoulder were a wee bit less narrow and his loin was fuller but he’s still only 12 weeks. I will reevaluate at 16 weeks 😊 I have tried everything to edit out the black part but I can’t so apologies!
