Good morning friends,

I’d like to take a second to just do a quick reminder. I don’t get paid for this. I don’t get paid to rehab, rehome and care for animals that are no longer wanted.

Not getting your way does not make me the bad guy. If you ask for help you receive help to the absolute best of my abilities. The best case scenario is for you to keep the animal as long as it is in good health and then let’s get it placed. The choices you make after that are your own.

It is expensive, time consuming and exhausting both physically and emotionally to deal with and help the critters that are neglected/injured/dumped. Which are generally the immediate ones that make their way here first thing.

IF you take in an animal and there is a behavior that you don’t care for, tossing it back is not the answer in most cases. Likely it is something environmental, a stressor etc. Finding a new home is a big change for an animal. Rescues take work. Rabbits are no exception to that by any means.

We socialize our rescues, work to desensitize them to animals such as dogs and older kids / teens as much as possible so that when you bring a loving bun in your home it’s a good fit. And, if the rabbit isn’t a good fit we will try again with a different rabbit friend until you have a loving match.

Thanks friends for being there when we need you so we can be there when you need us. ❤️❤️

Yesterday was exciting!

We picked up 4 bunnies that look like they are lion head crosses. A local family found a closed up wicker basket with these little critters inside we have no idea how old they are or how long they were in the box.

2 boys and 2 girls- they are all emaciated and the girls are expecting babies.
They haven’t had food for a significant amount of time, at least 2 weeks and we are iffy on survival of more than one of these little buggers.

Reminder- dumping and abandoning animals INCLUDING rabbits is a crime.

Hi friends!

Do you know where your puppers are?

Take a look and see if you recognize anyone!

**URGENT PLEA**
FB friends, we need your help! Here's a layout of our shelter's kennels. You can see that we have a total of 40 kennels. A kennel in PURPLE indicates that there is a dog in it. That means currently we only have 11 empty kennels.

What you aren't seeing are the three stray dogs that have been brought to us in the last two hours and are still waiting to be processed.

What you aren't hearing is our Client Services team currently on the phone with someone who needs to bring in another stray.

By noon, we will only have 7 empty kennels. We need your help! If you have lost a pet, please visit www.mcdogs.net to see if your dog is here. If you have found a pet and are able to keep it and search for the family on your own, that would be amazingly helpful.

Tune in later today as we give you more tips on what to do if you find a lost dog.

Thank you for your help!

Animal dumping is a crime.

Our rabbit friends don’t look like dogs or cats when they get dumped, rabbits have feelings. They care about their people.
They are much less likely to survive without their people.

Dumping of an animal can mean big fines or even jail time.

Clovers care has a new face around here.

Bella is a mixed breed. She is full grown at about 3-4 pounds when she is at full weight. She’s just a little doe but couldn’t be any sweeter. Sounds like she was running around an Applebees.

Bella is her foster name and she is about 1 pound under weight. Once she gets some weight on her little bones.

She will be cleared for a new family!

More pictures to come.

Little Luna has found her home. ❤️❤️

Meet little 'Rescue' we call her that because she doesn't have a name yet. We figured it would be better for her new family to let her settle into a name that fits her.

This little girl has had an interesting little life already.
A little over a month ago she came into our care. She was abandoned in a Motel 6 bathroom and had nothing to eat except part of a chicken sandwich. We know that she was there for several days before she was found and rescued.

She has is between 12 and 16 weeks old at my best guess.
Resembles mostly New Zealand White (Or mix) Which means at her largest she could be about 10 pounds but I highly doubt it. She's pretty little.

She does well with dogs and is mostly potty trained.
R- has had some exposure to cats as she was found in the motel with 3 kittens.
She couldn't be any sweeter if she tried. She enjoys cuddles on the couch, running around

Little R is looking for a responsible and safe home. Send me a message if you think that you could be the right fit.

+She DOES have a rehoming fee.
+She does not come with a cage, or house.
+Transition feed and Hay come with.

Dexter is starting to feel better.

He can’t wait to be someone house bunny. Figured he would get some practice in- lounging around, chasing the dog. Cuddling with my shoes.

Dexters recovery on his ears is coming along nicely! Friday - Monday

It’s hard to compare them. He still has a ways to go before he is ready to make a transition to a new home.

He is so very smart! Picking up potty training like a pro.

Ear mites and infections are not the end of the world for rabbits- managing them and treating them properly can save your bun and their hearing.

I’m not positive Dex had fully regained his hearing or if he will.

Interact with rescue post today- we need more visibility. That is only a like away.

Getting ear meds is never fun but cuddling sure is nice.

We got a new bun in this evening. His name is Dexter- since one of his wounds on his foot opened and well his name is Dexter.

He is for sure a New Zealand White but super neglected.
Neglect cases are so hard. It doesn’t always mean that they weren’t fed and watered. He is a chunky 10 pounds and insanely sweet.

He does have sore hocks that are as bad as I’ve ever seen and so many ear mites he has vertigo and I would be surprised he can hear at all.

He is going to take some TLC and a loving home once he is feeling better.

It was finally time to create our own page at the rate these rescues are coming in.
Actively looking for rabbit fosters!
